pre enlistment checkup

ahha make sure you don't pee like just before you get there cause when go there first thing you do is need to pee. after take picture ah. then they poke you and get blood out damn cool haha. then they check your hearing, eyes, xray your chest, check your teeth. then you go into room 6 they put some suction thingy on your chest. then height and weight then go see medical officer to drop your pants and cough then he give you your pes status. then do your aptitude test. then finish

You will be standing up straight. The Dr. will put on gloves and then check your testicles (balls) for lumps or unusual growths, ask you to turn your head and cough (he will be checking to see how your testicles react when you cough) and then he'll tell you you can pull you pants back up. He will probably not even touch your penis (99% of the time) except to possibly move it out of the way. Don't worry about it...it's not a big deal and it'll be over in a minute.
He is testing to see if you have a hernia...

this is strictly medical talk and not dirty stuff..(pls remember)
thank you:)

Hey guys...just for your info...here's how the PES grading works accoring to what i can recall...

PES A - Super Fit - Commando, Guards, Diver...etc...chong suah all the way..
PES B - Quite Fit, maybe kena minor injuries b4 but still can chong suah...
PES C - Not so fit - maybe you broke something recently(a few yrs ago)...got chance to become clerk..depending on the extent of prior injuries or minor medical conditions
PES D - Unclassified - Pending further medical reviews
PES E - Not fit for chong suah - Sure become clerk...
PES F - Unable to serve - Due to serious medical condition etc....

Good luck guys...trust me..when you ORD you will miss ur NS days..so many memories....

hard to say about the pes thingy - I all the way Pes A fit but kena Armskoteman in NS - and also in reservists coz I got the stmn class 1 ..

lafff all the way, eat sleep, play video game, drink at mess & gamble ...tsk tsk life was "hard" ...

Of course IPPTthose days $30 as compared to $400 nowdays lah ....

the dropping of pants and coughing is to check for some medical condition.
the by right checkup u'll have to drop and cought.
no cough just means 1 thing.... the MO slack.

pes D is a pending pes status. from there u either go pes A, B, C, or E.
pes D longest i think only for 6 months.

declare gay sign 302 yes straight away pes E. u get an easy life, get to book out everyday.

BUT...

this gay status will follow you the rest of your life. they will reflect it in your I/C in the gender segment. and you can never get married in Sgp.

it's not declare for free. there's a huge price to pay.
why do you think so little singaporeans sign 302?

My advice is to book an early appointment, like 8-9am. There will be no one ahead of you, so there will be none of those chao geng ones or people with lots of medical problems ahead of you, cutting short any possibility of a long delay in the line. Any delay in any of the station affects all people who have not cleared the preceding stations. Thus, go early, and you can finish the entire medical check-up in 30min and proceed to the computer test!

well, there we see a joke taken seriously. haha
orh they also stick a finger up your anus to see if u'll steam and if u do str. away sign 302.
hahaha

ehh! haha noo!! they poke your arm there to draw blood not your little brother! :O

Actually, the medical check up doesnt mean that u will be enlist soon after your check up. U can check up first, get to know your pes status, and continue to defer after u finish your studies. And the best part about it is, u enter army earlier, almost right after u grad, and dun waste time lingering around.

PES C - Not so fit - maybe you broke something recently(a few yrs ago)...got chance to become clerk..depending on the extent of prior injuries or minor medical conditions

Just to add, other vocations for PES C personnels could be service medics, signaller, storeman, mechanic etc.

I totally agree...if you book afternoon slot, then there is a very high chance you cant finish the entire process on the very same day. They will ask you to come back another day to continue...waste time...

ok no... SAF doesn't really care whether yr pes C sometimes.

my platoon, front line armour technicians.

my unit got exercise, my buddy, pes C2 still have to draw rifle go outfield and do the exercise.

Pes C does not necessarily mean automatic light duties.

I think your friend may be Pes C2 L1.
This is how it goes.

C1 = Can do ippt but excuse up to 2 stations depending on condition
C2 = Excuse Ippt
C9= Jia lat liao, excuse Ippt anyway (dunno whats the diff with c2 really)

L1 = fit for field duties
L2 = Fit for some field duties but cannot cheong sua
L9 = Not Fit for Field duty.

Do take the mapas computer iq test seriously at the end of the check up. your path/route in ns largely depends on it though people do not notice it.
