Definately... if you had a hole in your thigh to accomdate the instrument cable sticking out of the input jack which is located in the most retarded position: Where your thigh is.

But yeah lah, you could play it sitting if you strapped it high....

dude, i have no problem playing my V sitting down! A leg stool helps a lot though....and of cos L-jacks! Best friend of all V-owners.

one thing i dont really like about gibson/epiphone's explorer is that the pickup switch is located way down on the lower horn, which kinda requires one to move the picking hand quite a distance when switching is required.

and so thats why i prefer ESP's take on the design

its a lil neck heavy, but nothing a good thick leather strap cant fix
