haha yeah p90s. I don't really know how to describe the sound. Rounder maybe? Just my chords are clearer now and they jump right out the guitar. It sounds nice with a Rat!!

mockingbird parade

i know that these are around before, but I can't help it

wow Hidir... you upgraded to P-90s is it? how different does it sound?

happening sia.

'upgrade' here is subjective, but if it's moving on to something more agreeable with ourselve, then it makes perfect sense.

i used to dislike p-90 pickups but when i gave them another go lately, they sound great on their own turf, enduring the hum under high drive settings is a must :-)

Whoa... That acryllic one is cool!!!! How does it sound?

haha well it's novel indeed, every thing you play sounds very crystal clear, and sustain is well, sustains for much longer than a standard LP.

the funny thing, it's about 3/4 the thickness of an LP but weighs about twice as heavy...

stock BCR pickups are pretty good in this circumstance, but i'm supposing i have a lot of work to do, change tuners and pickups i guess. thinking EMGs

definitely not a blues guitar. this thing was built with one or two genres in mind, no prizes for guessing which

lol, nice try VERY CLOSE INDEED.

I suppose I could try making it into a hot bluesy guitar, throw in a PAF pro or something. But i don't know what works for a guitar made of acrylic so I also don't know what to put in?

any suggestions would be good, haha

maybe p-90s

Actually, I tried the Ampeg Dan Armstrong lucite guitar before... single pickup, and that low output pup on it was nice. You might want to try a traditonal Gibson PAF pickup on that one...

hmm what i read on some UK forum was that lucite material is a more 'tonal' plastic. whatever that meant. I'm at a loss of how to modify acrylic guitars, haha...

gibson PAF? hmm... sounds promising... but it's quite steep for someone like me, haha...

i shall mull it over carefully. maybe EMGs to just bring the house down with heavy sounds

wow amazing collection jmguitars. could u do a breakdown of whats in ur pile? i see a really yummy huber orca there and is that a briggs i see as well?

Lol.. Yeap.. Not many are SG fans.. That's a tad bit of single cuts he has over there..
And one V.. No love for single coils bro?

Pentatonic: Thank you for your kind words. Good eyes you have. From left, Gibson 59 VOS / McInturff Carolina Custom / Nik Huber Orca / PRS 245 Artist / Hamer Vector Korina / Taylor Custom Walnut / Tom Anderson Atom / PRS McCarty / Gibson Standard / Gibson Faded LP with CV Guitars Peter Green mod / James Trussart Steeltop / Jack Briggs Artisan Classic.

Godspeed/Subversion: Yes, an SG or its equivalent would be nice eventually. The guitars I tend to play at home have no fancy maple tops and just nice "working man" type of guitars that sound and feel good and are comfortable to bang around with.

Godspeed: erm, ... my Strats and Teles are in another pile off camera. I love them too.
