pedalboard

ok j_m_s

hope this will help you.(and stop bugging me thru sms  )

look, pedalboard is very customizable! so meaning you need not ask around who's pedal board is of what size.. if you do so, you'll find yourself into a deep sea of results! its not like how frets got their few same standards.. its not like english music got 12 notes n so on.. being d.i.y. meaning do it yourself.. also your way! nobody can say ur's is a wrong way my friend! have some confidence when you intend on a diy stuff :)

i can only help you when you meet problems like how come my nails will come loose and not problems like hey where exactly do i nail them to.

Btw i drew that diagram because to help you and hope it did help you unlock some mysteries..

Hi Gr3y,

Unrelated questions: What wood did you use for your board (Art Friend wood?), and how much weight do you reckon it can hold?

Thanks in advance. :)

its just plywood to be honest.plywood are great because they are light and they are durable. but many think so much about wood especially ppl that believes in good wood, they think plywood are crap. But hey plywood are really strong i tell u.u may source for other wood though.i didnt weigh my stuff before its being made into the current board. The most important thing is you'll have to look at the grain part! even on a plywood! always go agains t the grain..

Good Example

--------------------------------------------------- } wood grain direction
---------------[] Handle []----------------------- } horizontal

Bad Example

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| } wood grain direction

Hey this should be made sticky man.. i put in quite some effort on the educational part.. damn..

Thanks. I understand the preferred choice for amp cabinets for weight considerations is usually Birch Plywood, hence the questions. The wood grain direction thing is something I didn't know though, thanks for the heads up.

Sticky? I don't bother to sticky stuff already as you may notice. Doing something else to archive the stuff on soft though. Let's see how it goes.

Actually, I don't recall you "bugging" me.

If anything, I say, CALL! Don't sms... its so... time consuming.

haha

ok thanks. Starting today. Im deciding between building one like urs or just building a tilted one with handles and get a keyboard bag. hmm surfing for ideas now. later gg to buy materials

hhaa

the time is slowly approaching 3pm. when i meet blue ark to collect my bro's patch bay.. then ill stop by sweelee n artfriend for stuff. hahahaha. but what size do u think is good?i wanted to find the dimensions of my dream pedals. then put em all together. but some webbys dont state the pedal dimensions! wa lao..

Its wise to have something wide enough to mount your Wah pedal, and have more (than enough) space for a power strip above it.

That should give you enough space to comfortably mount 2 rows of Boss sized pedals.

But don't forget.

You need a bag to go with the case.

And... I don't like carrying around too much if you know what I mean.

yeah. i gna put my tuner on top of my 535q. nw drawing dimensions. i think ill build 32 by 18 inches? haha is tt ver big?

i was thinking of building one slighlty smaller in length than a guitar hardcase. you guys think its practical? heh....i'm planning for a lot of pedals. btw what power supplies do you guys use?
