since already got a chip, might as well use a penknife, carefully scrap on that chipped area and see if the orange-ish colour is due to the staining from the finishing(scrap surface, reveal the truth for sure) or guitar really made of some orange wood..

sometime when we have colours on our skin and it penetrate the surface, it will take a while to wash off, the colour will remain on us over few days and slowly fade off..

well how about i post up my 6 megapixel DSLR photo and say sorry my DSLR is like that one?

resize! resize!!! dunno how? LEARN.

sorry wwh.. i was trying to joke.. sorry if it hurts abit there.. btw.. it seems very much like basswood to me. But what you see now is actually the sealer coat and not the wood itself. That is y it looks so smooth and coloured.. After if you actually cut deeper, it should turn into pine like colour.. sealer are meant to be clear but different brand will have different effect..

have not did any googling, believe you can do it and enlighten us too :)

Pardon my dumbness, that's the problem, I don't even know wtf is that, how do I google it? Anyways, no hard feelings, was pretty shocked and tickled lol.

Cheers,
WWH
