thanks jay - as for the current tone u heard, ok the details to it 
i ran my strat - AX1500 Korg [retired to home/fun n direct recording utility] - soundcard. the AX1500g on FatStrat drive, all settings at 50, except drive at 60. cab sim 4x12 CLS all settings at 50. upped the reverb a bit on the 'echo+hall preset'. turned on the built-in wah for the 1st solo phrase. the Noise Reduction always set to 'off'. Monster cables and a bone-material pick.
oh yeah i had just re-stringed a new set of Curt Mangans too :rock:
(might use my pedals for the final piece of the track)
