@Jeepers: ACL and MCL are.... ligaments right? I don't know all these medical terms xP But do they affect your drumming much?[/QUOTE said:
ACL = anterior cruciate ligament

MCL = medial collateral

they are 2of e 4 major ligaments in each knees, i doubt it wld affect drumming much since we dont really extend and flex e knees much

Hmm, it could affect the drumming depending on the severity. I have a drummer patient who came in with a complete torn acl and he could not and try not to drum for about 3 weeks. :p
Sad.

last time there was a softie here that said that he injured himself v bad (i think it was wrist) and had to go physio and cannot drum for 6 months or something .... quite scary...

Uhuh.. Must have some complete rupture of his tendons.
Rupture achilles tendon will take up to at least 6 months for recuperation.
And it is EASY to tear your Achilles tendon.

It freaks me out sometimes when "peddling" = Achilles tear:shock::shock::shock:

Wow, I like the room even more than the drums =O the drums are nice but the size of the room really sets it off! Is this like your dedicated drumming zone or something?

An avid portnoy fan. ;:mrgreen:

The room looks even big enough to hold a jamming session right there! It doesn't look very sound proofed though. How do you manage the issues with volume ?

But then again, it wont be a problem if you're living in private property. ;)

I'm a singaporean currently living in Australia and this is in my basement and i don't have neighbours living next to me so it isn't much of a problem ;)

(Sonor force 3007 White Sparkle)

If you guys wonder why i have 2 kits it's because the TAMA is permanently in my music room while the Sonor is brought out for gigs. Currently i only play in church gigs and not very often as well.

Well these are the specs of my Sonor kit so far

22" x 17.5 Bass drum
8", 10", 12" and 14" floor tom
14" snare drum (which sounds amazing good with the stock head!)

Paiste 502 hi hats, 16" crash and 20" ride plus a 14" Zildjian Dark Crash and a 10" A-custom splash. All the cymbals on my sonor kit are over 10 years old and in serious need of a revamp. I'm hoping to get either Sabian 13" Vault fierce hats or Sabian 15" HHX Xcelerator hats. 16" HHXtreme and 18" HHXtreme, 21" HHX Groove ride (Brilliant) and perhaps a 14" HHX Evolution mini china and if possible to replace the old cymbals and hoping get an additional 9" Max splash (natural finish) to replace the A-custom splash and if i'm super lucky, i'll try to get a Benny Grebb trash hats by Meinl as an X-hat.

All hardware are currently Sonor series 400 plus my 11 year old cymbal stands and arms from my previous kit.

Heads on Sonor kit are Aquarium super kick 2 for kickdrum, Evans G2 coated on toms, stock on snare.

For the Tama kit, i'm using Evans EC2s for all toms, Remo CS with dot for both snares. Phew, that was quite a bit to type but that's all the info i can give at this point of time guys ;)

owned the 16 and 18" combi of HHXtreme...

tad bit too loud and that "piercing sharp loudness" it produces so i switched to a milder 18" a custom..

but served me quite well!
