OFFICIAL- Show us your kits thread!

Hahaha still everytime I see that I get the feeling like the stand is gonna fall off. Hope you can get a new stand soon!

Looking at it, I was thinking... you know ranking sells this cymbal extension thing for around $30+ if I remember correctly. It's a boom arm for cymbals, so you can put the bottom end in your bass drum tom mount, and boom outwards to hold the ride to the side. Of course if your reason for not putting any weight on the bass is for the purpose of resonance and stuff, I guess this won't work...

heres my kit!

Haha not girly enough =P anyway I'm guessing your toms are 10-12-14?

I haven't seen arbiter drums before, but I heard about their "Flat" drums before. This one is a normal set, though?

Anyway! Yesterday I went to rearrange my drums. So now it looks like this:

Inspired by those drumsets where all the drums are set damn low. All the toms and the snare are at almost the same height, just a little bit higher than my thigh. It feels very different to play from my previous setup. I think it's good to rearrange all the stuff every few weeks or months or something.

Also I decided to put the O ring on all the toms and put a pillow inside the bass. I realized my room is very boomy, so I guess I can't not muffle at all, as much as I like that sound. Like this, it feels a lot quieter, actually.

Heh Nic, I'm playing with a low setup now as well, quite like how it feels. Your setup looks comfy.

eh retardedrummer, your setup tooo manly alr.

@Jeepers! Haha yeah! I always thought I would have to like lean forward to hit the toms in front, but it seems like it isn't so. It's nice to use since I don't have to change height to hit different toms. It reminds me of a marching toms solo that I saw before, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7WOmnuE_nE
It's comfy to play but hard to step into the throne area because of limited room space! xD

Nic: Well, if you set your rack toms facing straight up (like most indie drummers do; correct me if I'm wrong), then you'd have to lean forward a little to hit your toms dead centre.

I switched to a lower setup a couple of months back. My kit's smaller. I'm using 10" and 12" toms only. 10"/9" hats, 15" crash, 18" crash and a cheapish chinese bell.

10" Byzance Dark over 9" Turkish Classic

15" K Dark Thin (Main crash cum LSR)

18" K Dark Medium-Thin (Similar weight to a regular Crash/Ride)

Loads of fun. The 15" is quite an interesting ride, tbh. Pretty electronic-y sound overall.

The video's insane! Thanks!
