sometimes alot of problems with buying from such people, and not exactly nice looking cymbals at that price from them, or having to deal with aggresive sales tactics or many bidders/customers... or basically just not the type we're looking for or not having enough cash at that moment itself...

yeah and there are those times when I dont mind the price, cos of the sound and feel and looks of it... hahaha

ok... I will keep you in mind if I were to sell my cymbals... my principle in selling is 'name the price if you like the sound'... based on the unspoken benchmark I will be selling...

That is why one has to be frequently in the look out at the ads... I got a few good buys... like UFIP 8" Class splash for $50... with that kind of sound, I am willing even to pay $150... 8)

You'll never know what gems you might find on classifieds and ebay/yahoo auctions. I sold off my old pacific pedals cheaply some time back. Bought a 18" Sabian HH Chinese for only $100.

Ohhh do let me know if you ever want to sell off some hats drum_hobbyist

Wah... that is a good buy... presently I am satisfied with the hihats... will let you know if I ever let those precious go...

haha i scared to use ebay.. haha.. reliable bo? haha.. those from usa is damn ex man.. the shipping kills us

Kanzer: I used ebay to purchase a 22' K custom medium ride and a 14' K mini China.... The seller is this guy called gary aka 'heel59' who has like loads of stuff. Both items arrived in great condition, and I couldn't be happier with how they sound. You have to source out those with negative ratings, and see why they received it.

Yup. doublestrokesg gave some sound advice on ebay purchases. That's why they have the rating system. Sellers with good ratings are obviously the reliable ones. The standard practise on ebay is for the buyer to give the seller a good rating once he/she receives the product in good condition.

You'd be surprised by the trouble ebay takes to ensure that the information you provide is not bogus. When I suscribed to ebay.sg, the staff actually called me up to check on my phone number and address.

dude... hows your ride sound? Im thinking of buying one. Is it loud enough for Rock music?

Kari_con: I love the ride! I initially wanted the 22' K custom dark ride at music plaza but I decided to take a risk and go for the cheaper ebay alternative, which paid off tremendously! It's like I finally got the sound that I want... The ride crashes/rides well, produces that ring esp needed when songs are built up, and is capable of stick definition and not too much ring when played at a mezzo piano intensity. In switching to this cymbal frm an A custom projection ride, I also realized that it's a whole lot more dependant on my technique and strokes to utilize the sound it offers. =)

Mel: Hey bro, managed to crank up that snare to ur liking?
