newspaper article : girls playing guitar

lol daisy rock...
i think those users cant do licks with them but instead they can lick their guitars!

Daisy Rock guitars really do feel good.

I played on, PRS styled, set neck, rosewood fretbaord, maho body, and the thing sounded GOOD. I enjoyed the narrrow string spacing tremendously. Small neck, great for my short fingers.

around $950 I think, Made in Indo but very VERY well made. Couldn't see any blems, even on the binding... NICE.

Daisy guitars rock. Lighter and a slimmer neck. I bet they break easier if you have to smash it after losing a neoclassical guitar duel...

If the weight is a beef with you, get a chunky guitar lah... a LP Custom or a ES-1275.

Hmm.

Lemme ask you guys a question (with the exception of Shredcow).

How many of you ppl have actually tried those guitars?

I know i have. I've tried this white semi-hollow one with mini-buckers, and I thought it was one heck of a pretty good axe.

I tried another one with a purple pearloid top over a mahogany body (at least I think it was mahogany), and I thought it sounded pretty ok for the price it was asking.

Kindly do not diss the guitars based on their appearance or their target market (kids below the age of 13).

And just for the record, I'd be glad to buy one of them Daisy Rock guitars, just not the crazy-shaped ones. I'd put them with pride next to my SG and my tele. If I had the cash.

If you find that they look bad, fine, yeah some of them do, but guess what, how many of us find 'Hi-5' irritating?

Hope y'all get the message.

I would use a Daisy Rock guitar too. There are guitars that are too heavy for me, les pauls mainly.

Why?

Not because "I'm gay"

I got a broken back.

go-go's wanna be?
remember Belinda Carlise and gang?

Heart - ann wilson and lunn wilson band
heavy metal with breasts

their stardust and rock candy models look totally fine. they even have 5-string basses that look pretty damn fine!

serious its good ? ah cool.. but mainly, i think many are quite winded by several comments or thoughts by the journalists tho. but not to a big extent.

maybe good guitar but poorly written feature? i believe it wasn't the guitars themselves that were the point of contention but rather the way the article presented them, and the manner in which the article portrayed girl guitarists that was the problem.

Well, at least discussions have gotten more civil and less absurd.

How "gay" is getting a ache from carrying or jumping around with a guitar? Its very real to me due to my condition.

heh - I'm using a Bonnie Raitt self custom made strat - the ultimate girl guitar?

hahaha... when i made the comment bout the EIGHTEEN yr old boy being gay from havin aches from carryin his guitar and actualli publicising that in public, i was actualli thinkin of his future la. like when he will eventually have to go through ns and carry his sbo and do soc, etc.. so gd luck to that. he will b bitching way more often then, i suppose. hehe

obviously, its an exception if u actualli have a broken back or sumthin.

ps: shredcow, juz wonderin... how did u break ur back?
