Well.. I usually play my Yamaha classical guitar with rock songs by Foo Fighters, Evanescence, Green Day, etc with it so im really sick of listening to the crappy sound of the classical guitar.. Practically suck seriously.. Wanna get an electric guitar so i can play metal n japanese visual kei rock too..

Well agn.. I just wanna noe details of the good guitar shops in Singapore, where to buy wad, recommendations of a gd beginner guitar wil b cool too.. (budget is 400 n below) N ummmm... Oso which model of amps will b gd as in they have great distortions/overdrive n a satisfyin clean sound as well.. Priority stil to the distortions though.. Niwae.. My budget for the amplifiers is 200 dollars n below. 15 watts..

For all those giving positive comments, arigato gozaimasu!:)

hmmz try citymusic bundle... not bad for u beggining to start up with everything.... the line6 spider III has most of the fun stuff u wanna get... but i doubt u will stay long with it :)... but its great for a start...

if not.. try any squire cali series... and buy the roland cube 15x...

The offer looks attractive indeed.. N i've seen gd reviews abt Line 6 n roland amps.. Bt i wonder if the guitars there can perform till the stage of metal music? N i oso heard tat squire guitars' quality isnt very lasting though i tried one of their cheap strats n the sounds' pretty gd..

are you japanese?from japan itself?if so dont they have better guitars there?sg guitars are pretty ex.

hey, i m a beginner myself. i have tried many beginner's guitars like squire, esp ltd, cort, craftsman and stuff, almost like 30+ since last christmas.

i very thick skin one. each time i go to a guitar shop, i will just sit at the guitar shop for around 1-2hr straight and request to try this and that guitar, even though i know some pple r looking at me and dun appear to be very happy with me. but i just dun care becoz i think the best way to get a guitar u really like is to try as many till u find one which really suits u. u may feel that u do not have the skills yet, but do not be embarrassed to ask the guitar guy to play a very kickass solo and licks to make comparisons between guitars.

so my point is: go and try the guitars rather than just sit and wait for answers to come to u.

anyway, if u reallie decide against trying guitars at guitar shop, i recommend the hamer xt series or the saft or the saqt. a few of them r floating around in soft and going at a very reasonable price. u may not hear much abt the hamer usa or the budget hamer guitars, but from my encounters with the few i have played from friends and at city music, i think hamer is like reallie worth the buy.

well.. the first guitar wont actually last long.. u will sure go ahead to get more better guitar for tone and playability... but i still keep on first guitar a yamaha eg112 :X... still like the feel of it...

so... buying a squire wont harm much... i also own one... one of the cheapest and best guitar i tried... but if u are really into metal and heavy stuffs..save up abit more and get ibanez RG series... will last u quite long and its quite versatile up the stage...

i think... if i think i know what kind of distortion tone you want, no sub $200 amp will give u that kind of insane distortion, maybe line 6 spider comes close (i'm usin that at the moment) but pedals are still key... i believe, feel free to collect me.

and why not second hand? haha just feel free to ask to try before u buy

I may not have tat much courage to do tat frankly.. And umm.. yeah, i'll go check out the hamer guitars u tok abt.. Thanx lotz.

I need to pay for lots of personal things on my own n i guess waiting for the period to save up till u can get the RG series.. It'll really take forever.. So i really tot of the GAX-30 n Viper-50.. Those budget models seems pretty satisfyin to me.. Wad da ya think of those? Hav u experienced playin em b4?

ltd models are ok.. but dont touch the lower end ibanez... hmmz.. if u just wanna venture into just metal.. jrock eg : smg xjapan direngrey stuffs... looking for more humbuckles guitar... with ur budget $400... there are a few... one of them is which i told u about the citymusic bundle... another is the SX begginer series which sub has them on the reviews section only thing is tat the amp wont be as great as tat of the line6...

as budget is concern.. amp is important as it brings out most of the distortion overdrive and efx... line6 and cube15x are the most budget wise while giving u almost the stuffs u need... u could shop at sweelee.. but at $400 for guitar is quite hard over there... if not walk afew step over to ranking sports the shop opp sweelee... the budget guitar there would suit ur need... as to which is ur liking u have to choose urself... :)

i would go for the citymusic bundle... cost less then u could use the left over money for some other stuffs.. or save it for ur 2nd guitar... haha

Why do u tink tat the GIO guitars are not worth buyin bt den the LTD series r ok..? I've tested both of em n am pretty satisfied wif em..

i think he's refering to the quality you get for the price... ibanez RG models (correct me if im wrong) have unsatisfactory stock pickups.. almost all the RG owners i know all change their pickups...

So u mean high price doesnt guarantee gd quality rite?

true... its also not how its quality is... is veri subjective... i have strat.. super strat... but nv had a les paul.... not saying its bad... cos.. i dont feel right just playing a les paul... and gio and rg price range have veri slight difference... should go for a rg... the stock of a rg isnt tat bad as tat of a gio... gio have quite a numbers of flaws u will pick up as u play through time... as for RG... go for the rg321 or rgr321 as its fixed bridge... buying a floyd rose as a begginer will have u pulling most of ur hair out... but if u have the patience and interest in it. do go for one and u will nv regret.. :)

as for comparison of ltd and gio... i would go for ltd for its build... :).. tats my pt of view only... the guitar still lies in ur hands... do consider hard and try it throughly before buying...
