Wow, I know I'd get one. Been hungering for a simple, analogue delay. Was singularly bent on waiting for M.I Audio's delay to be finally out, now I've another option.

Says that it's coming out after NAMM. When is NAMM 08?

There is modulation. Read the text box above the pedal, there is optional modulation from a switch (the white square top left) and internal trimpots to control rate and depth. And just for the sake of being anal, the EHX SMM does not have modulation, only the DMM has.

not exactly, because there is no modulation.

the closest candidate to a mxr-sized EH MM is the subdecay one

Actually, the Subdecay is a digital delay.

If the mxr turns out to be genuine, which I'm sure it will be, BBD analog delay, then the closest comparison is the Malekko delays...

You should check those out. 2 delay times (300ms / 600ms) and 2 flavours (bright like the DMM or dark like DM-2) for a total of 4 models.

mwahahaha, beware of the analog tagging.

Wait till some pedal tinkerers start to open those thing up and realised it aint too analogue afterall, like some..

I dont discriminate between anal or digi, but if its just marketing gimmick or some twist of words that masked certain aspect of the circuitry, its just wrong. Imho

Pathin Bro, it IS wrong if yer twist your words.

Look at the True Bypass thing. How many companies try to sell you on it when they (not so) obviously don't have TB on their pedals?

thanks, after straining my eyes to read the words, i finally found that reference.

yup, saw those delays beoing sold on Ebay.
wanted to buy them for some time.

problem is, i am gassing for the empress delay as well.

If it runs on BBD and it is cheap and sounds good and relatively noisefree.... I betcha one Little Creatures Pale Ale(the best beer from Oz!) that it is didgitar!

ed, spot on about little creatures pale dude. best frickin beer, period.

the carbon copy looks great, but my main concern is whether it self oscilliates - essential for the manipulating of feedback. i haven't heard any digital delay that's ever got that right...and disappointingly enough, some analog delays eg the Ibanez AD9 don't seem to do it. I'm sure you could adjust trim pots to try to get that, but that's ruined plenty a good Boss DM2. I'm not even sure if the new Maxon AD9 Pro self oscilliates...and until i find one that sounds as good or better than my Maxon AD80 doing that, i'll stick with it (despite its miserable 300ms of delay).

dan, you can get em Little Creatures now at this cosy little pub called Bar Bar Black Sheep at 879 Cherry Ave, Bukit Timah Road. At $6 bucks per pop...

the food there is really good too... check out the HUGEASS burger! YUM! I'll go over and get some later. hahaha...

dude, that's less than half of Ice Cold Beer's price! wicked! thanks for the tip.

now if only we could get our gear here at near cost...ah well, pipe dream :)
