Hi all,
Finally I get to come home, have a good bath and sit here at the computer to say a quick hello. Have not slept much for the past 3 nights trying to shift all the drum stuffs from home to the new place. Boy am i glad that I finally have a place to do what I enjoy and love to do most.
A big thank you to all the guys at Guitar 77, Luther Music Works, Living Strings, Davis Guitar & Maestro for assisting and taking care of this new kid in the block. I truely desire to see that we can all join hands in our own specialty, to stir a force that will soon be reckon in the music industry.
Let's keep the kampong heart & spirit alive .
Let us all continue to strive towards excellence in developing our instrumental skills while sharing, teaching one another, mentoring those who are weaker building one another up. Fight and we die, unite ourselves and we conquer new grounds together.
I will see you guys tommorrow, I gotta lay this tired body down now.

u know i'm really glad this forum is filled with people who are open and receptive and positive to things. the other forum which is the singapore drummers collective is just full of xxxx. not all of them but there are quite afew. wat ah pek has done is a good thing by setting up the forum but most oif the people in it are just arguing all the time. i'm glad u guys offer good advice and have discussions the way it should be and not just having the attitude that i know best everyone else is wrong. i think it shows the good attitude you guys have towards drumming and its community.

I second what Soft said.
I understand how you feel. One thing I have learnt is this: If I cannot change what's outside of me, I can change what's inside of me. Let's throw away the negative influences or feelings that we have been carrying, its far too heavy, and let's look forward and face the many tomorrows with great anticipation of many good happenings despite of what's already bad. Let our the goodness flow out of us, spring will come.
That's why I started doing what i am doing. Started from nothing 4 years ago till now, I still have nothing to boost. I live everyday with grace from the One who loves me. I constantly remind myself that everything I do are not permanent, so I cannot be building my own empire. What lasts will be the hope to see the drumming community grow in character, integrity and of course our musical skills and moving out to play.
By the way, I am not a fantastic player, I have nothing that anyone would want to hear me play. I am still trying to get my double strokes right. :wink:
