New Drum Centre In EXCELSIOR!!

MEL80 & SUNSETSTONE,

Hiya! Good to hear from ya both. We will chat more in person cool? Kinda remind me the outstanding issues that we were discussing ok? :D

LARS_ULRICH,

Hahaha, I heard from a distance that you guys are crying out to be AHEAD of things, so I decided to bring in AHEAD drumsticks to see if that helps you all. :D
Targeted soft opening to be 1st Sept. Lots of loose ends to handle.

LEPIDS,

Hiya, great to see you here too! Yes, come on down and chat with me.

VIO,

Yo DUDE! Long time no hear from you huh. I am glad that you are one of those who saw me almost from the start of my endeavour till now. You kinda saw what I went through, the almost impossible situations and complications operating a drum biz at home! Trying to give the best service from almost nothing is unthinkable.

However, with the countless blessings and wisdom from the God I love, He brought me thru. Lots of brokeness, humility and dependence on Him. I am nothing without His hand that held me up through the seasons of life. That kept my sanity all these years.

Hey Ricky, looking forward to see you down in my shop and chat more! :D

SHRED5,

Mel80 has mentioned to you that I am carrying Istanbul Mehmet Cymbals. Come & check them out at the shop.

I am only carrying Yamaha Hardwares for now, until I find one that is as good or better. It is not because I used to work in Music Plaza,(now known as Yamaha), and it's not because Yamaha pays me to market their products. BUT I have worked with all the different drum hardwares over these 4 years, only to find the best hardwares are still the Yamaha ones.

99% of you drummers suffers from injured fingers trying to turn those wing nuts of the hardwares. Not true? I want to hear about it.

SHRED5, come on down to my shop ok. :D

I love the layout of Istanbul Cymbals catalogue..

I was drooling the whole moment!! :)

Istanbul Traditional 16" CHINA!!!!
Trid it and love it!!

Nigel (of Drum Resources) will be opening the drum shop just beside Guitar77 rehearsal studio. It'll be occupying the former DJ shop. Finally, a shop for drummers! :D

yeah! It's about time to go to a shop where drummers talk drums not people pretending to be drummers in some shops. haha

Nigel if u are reading, Congrats on the new shawp!

Your shop is so gonna be pop with drummers in Sg! I can hardly wait already.

Nothing beats popularity like a highly anticipated opening!

This is so cool. I can't wait. Istanbul Mehmet, hot damn.
You're the messiah to us drummers. Good job.

hey nigel,

theres this brand called sleishman drums over here in aussieland. its by order only and totally custom. its got a free floating shell and all. i've hearrd them and damn they sound really really good. u might wanna consider them if ur bringing in any high end sets.

Shred5,

Hahaha, its good that the layout of the Istanbul Mehmet catalogs are nice, but most importantly, the tonal qualities of the cymbals are a class of its own. Just take for example the economical package cymbals, Samatya Series (like the ZBT series, B8 series or the likes), they sounds really great.
Come on down, try them and hear them first hand when the retail showrooom is up and running!
I have yet to bring the Chinas in, be patient with me. But if you want it, order it and I will bring them in for you.

DrumDead,

Yes, let's talk about drums, but let me add this bits. Let's not just talk about gears, but also get back down to basics, theory, rudiments, applications, grooves ...etc
Let us be straight up to say that we only know this much and let's learn from one another. Exchanging ideas, practice methods, encouragements and building up of each other must be part of what we do as musician drummers.
It's about time that we, drummers, say "Enough is enough, let's turn around for the better". This cannot be accomplished on one drummer's effort, but a collective one.
Wanna see great things happening in the drumming scene? First, what will we give or sow into the scene to begin with. Without sowing, there will be no reaping.
It all starts with me and you, and you, and you ...... What will be your call?

VIO,

I understand the excitement and i am very glad, however I am concerned that there will be an over expectation of what I am doing now, because the fact of the matter is, I do not directly hold the major brandings that the local music companies have.
But those of you who have known me a little bit more, will know what my heart beats for (other than the love of souls). My vision has not died yet despite the "monopoly and political issues". I see, I know, I feel, I act, you all decide the destiny.
If I am the engine, you all out there are my fuel. Run with me!

TURBOCHICKEN,

Hehe, these "DRUM STICKS" will not be running away ...

SLAPSHOCK,

Come see me 1st Sept, that's this Wed.

WIRED,

I am glad that you are excited! You guys are bringing my heartbeat racing.... hahaha ....
Dude, dun call me the messiah, I am just an ordinary guy who wants to do untie the hands of those who have had tied by the situations here. Thank the good God that I love who gave me this one special skill despite that I am not academically normal. I have got 3 O levels only, spent 6 years in sec school, repeating sec 3 one year and sec 4 another. Halfway thru' I quit school, so please, you who are reading this and are in school, study hard, whatever you study now will come in handy. :)

BLURRED,

Hi there, i am wondering if I know you because you know my name. hehehe
Thanks for the recommendation! Send me an email and let's chat about that more.

we met briefly a long time ago when u worked in yamaha if i'm not wrong. sorry man i dun have ur e mail. using an 18inch istanbul trad agop that i bought from lemuel, its sweet man.
hey how do i post photos on this site?

Hi Nigel, wonder if you still remember me... I went for the Virgil Donati clinic that you organised. Great stuff... you gave me directions too when I was lost, that place is a freaking jungle. We had a nice chat at City Hall mrt. You're a very cool guy.

Congratulations on the opening of your new store! Your hard work has paid off! 8)

SPIKES,

Hehe, I only have time to log on, read the treads and reply them only before I put my head, my tired body down to rest, Especially these few weeks. Just yesterday, I woke up at 7 to tend to the reno of the shop and shifted one part of my stuffs in the middle of the night.
I have not slept a wink last night till now, I just got back, by the time I reply you guys, i won't have time to sleep liao. Still need to pack abit more things for another shift today, before rushing back to the shop for some last minute reno rectifications. After which i have an appt, and another and .....

BLURRED,

I am sure that 18" Istanbul Agop Trad Series cymbal is a great choice for you. Every cymbal company makes their cymbals good, so that we drummers can choose what we like, and use what we like.
Come to think of it, its good not to be tied down to one company in endorsements, because we can't pick and choose.
That's my attitude towards such matters. That will be why I will not say that the cymbals I bring in are THE best. But I MUST say that they are a class of its own. :)
My email: enquiries@drumsresources.com

WIRED,

Yes I am working on bring in Wuhans. But i cannot do that in big quantities now. I am sure you understand why, but I will do my best to see that come to past. :)

XCELLANCY,

Thank you for your good wishes.
I strive to do my best to keep the prices as reasonable as possible. It is now even more difficult with a shop and other overheads to cover. Depending on how you look at the pricing thing and on wat basis do you compare my prices with. If I do not make enough profits to make this biz makes sense, that translate to not being able for me to bring in new products and services that will benefit the drummers community. The effects of that is compounding. It's not easy to do what I am doing but I am alone shouldering the heavy responsibilty.

FUNKIFIZED,

Hiya! Well I have to apologise not recongising you but I will when you visit me more.
I need to clarify a very important matter that you mentioned. I DID NOT organised the Virgil Donati Clinic, the people of Swee Lee are the ones who have brought you this great clinic. I was there because of their graciousness in granting permission to sell some of their tickets.
The clinics that you saw me INVOLVED in so far are all organised either by YAMAHA or SWEE LEE MUSIC CO.
Do give them the credits they deserve.
Thanks for your good wishes! I will continue to work smarter and harder! Let's chat again.
