Need Help on Guitar repair

Hi folks,

Do anyone know where I can get my guitar fixed? My Epi Black Beuaty Les Paul headstock broke at the neck. I still think that it can be fixed as it is not totally broken into 2 pieces.

Is there any craftsman out there that can put it together ?

Thanx in advance to those that can give me some referrals.

Yes Dan is a friend and I may be biased in recommending him for stuff he does well but at the same time I wouldnt wanna point anyone here in the wrong direction by saying he is good at something that he is not.

Nor for that matter I wouldn't wanna recommend anyone else whom I have never had any expirience with sending my stuff to for repairs or buying from either. I'm just speaking from my own personal expirience.

Anyway thanks for your comments Channie, I'm sure there are many other repairers / retail shops out there with their own supporters giving the thumbs up and supporting their preferred establishment accordingly.

Thanx Guys !

Thanx to all for your recommendations. We all have our preference....and its ok to express it out. In any case, how it looks will be subjective to the eyes of the beholder...i just wanna get me guitar fixed and will be thankful if I can play it again...

seriously.. the biased recommendations should stop..

Then no one would be recommending anything right? I mean, don't we all recommend people we think are good because we've either used them and found their services to be good, or heard from a friend? Otherwise, how would you know?

If we stopped recommending people just because we may be biased, then there'll be no recommendations at all. Because EVERYONE is biased in some form or another.

And, it's up to the original poster on who he wants to bring his damaged guitar to. No one's forcing him...

Well Gugenhiem....Is best to replace the whole neck. That depends where the crack is...?If it is at the calf joint,it's very serious dude.String tension & temperature fluctuation may further worsen the defect conditions.Probably you could d/load photos so that anyone can give u better advices.

How ler.....?

erm... it's a set neck. Do you know anyone who sells replacements for set necks much less do the job?

"Renecking Works"

Well Gugenhiem....
A set neck is a tru'neck. The best is to cut away the neck from the body and make a neck pocket @the body by routing; for the new neck to be installed making sure at the correct scale length inclu. neck profile & width.I'm not sure probably Whitestrat, noe which shops can do that.
