Wonder how do you all carry your guitar + effects in sg?

My gear is fender strat and pod xt live. Each of these are 4-5kg each. So in total i'm carrying ~10 kgs when gigging or practise.

I considered to replace my pod xt live to lighter model and i did consider tonelan XE, but after try it out, found that i still love my pod xt coz the major problem is it does not have the foot tap to set tempo. (need to use finger)

So, how do u usually carry ur gear around?

Just lug it around. IMO better to carry the pedaltrain on your back (eg. pedaltrain, westfield) and hand carry the guitar. My pedalboard itself is already 10kg and sometimes I bring along my amp head as well.

Thank God I drive. lol

Guitar - Right hand

PT Nano - Strapped to guitar case

Amp - Left hand

Humped heavier loads across tougher terrains in army lol.

so i gez i need to get used to carry all of this heavy weights... maybe find a lighter guitar would help a bit ... like Gibson / Epi SG may be ideal ... sigh ... oh yeah, and frequent my visit to gym. hahah

So you're going to sacrifice tone for easier carrying?
Hopefully the lighter guitar will suit your taste for tone too.

On lazy days I might use a headless guitar / travel guitar.. But now most jams I have guitar on my back (good straps on the gig bag are essential), pedaltrain in one hand and amp in the other.

Oh and I take bus and train both there and back.

I use a foldable trolley. Secure my guitar and pt jr tightly and off I go. It's not fashionable but definitely functional.

i carry guitar in a guitarbag in hand

carry pedals in a backpack like pedalcase. The shark pedalboard from guitar77

prices lower than a pt-2. similar size and function. pedalboard is lighter. Most importantly, the pedalbag can be carried like a bagpack. It also has 2 extra storage components, which can fit anything from cables, adaptors to even a 15 inch laptop

only gripe is that it does not mount power adaptors as well as the pt-2, and wires dont run as smoothly below as compared to the Pedaltrains. I managed to get over that by elevating the pedalboard slightly by pasting rubber studs below. Also managed to mount a cioks schizophreric below, im not sure if bigger power supply units would be mountable though

i think if you wanna carry your pedalboard on your back u can consider acquiring a keyboard bag. Most keyboard bags generally have bagstraps

I carry my pedals in a PT-2 hardcase. It weighs more than 20kg. It has no sling, no wheels, and just a handle. I rotate it between my left and right hand. On my back is a Les Paul inside a Mono which has all my cables.

I learn to suck thumb in the name of tone. Being in GBAD in the RSAF has trained me with insanely heavy loads so, yeah, I'm a warrior the distance to the jamming studio..
