My First Relic project...need comments! :D

Kerplunk : I purposely keep the gold on that portion....I feel any complicated pantings need a little bit of breathing space....

Whitestrat : Yeah...I know it's very unnatural...I didn't think about the relicing logic when I did it....Just scrape off whatever I think it's necessary....This guitar is my official frankenstein and guinea pig....if I got bored with it maybe one day I'll paint the whole thing in white or even create somthing like this :

hahaha :D

definitely suit my looks

bro to be completely honest, that guitar looks like it just survived a nuclear war.

but hey if that's the look you were going for you did it! whats important is you like it haha

Hmmm...
It looks really cool.
But not the "relic" kinda cool.
Its really more like a piece of artistry.
Good job none the less!

Jupzones : That's exactly what I want. A veteran of war kind of look. Like an old beaten up tank. Or should I say. The "Wall-E look" .....hahaha

Nice Relic reez. hws the guitar? i feel very sorry to aznjt. me being quite a noob traded the guitar with probs to him.

The guitar is in a good playing condition...perfect fretlife....smooth neck....but there are some things that I dun understand.....

- why he took out the sustainer/feedbacker switches? It works well...but can only do unlimited feedbacking
- why both pickups sounds exactly the same and both works as a fernandes sustainer?I suspect that the pups selector isn't actually working

I'll shop for bridge pickup and send it to Beez for installation and orange drop during this weekend

i dunno about the rest but I'm with goose. (yeah me and goose... we're old folks....) I don't like it at all BUT its YOUR guitar, if you like it, you OWN it.

I'd still rather let my guitars relic naturally, but I like how yours looks now. I'd buy it from you if I could!

Dang, my Ibanez Sage is still quite new but it's got some signs of age already. No thanks to my 'gentle' handling, but doesn't look like I'll have to wait long before it looks like something out of Tommy Emmanuel's collection of old and well-used guitars.

Once my guitars are relic-ed enough, I'd post pics here.

I'm with you guys! was quite shocked to see how the term relic has changed.. same like how the term indie is used here in Singapore.

thanks Seniors!Yeah...I think I've used the wrong terms on this guitar...sorry about it....When I showed it o my gf she also said freaking ugly...hahaha.....but I still kinda like it although normally I like something clean cut....

hey reez,

don't worry about our comments. just being honest. I hate a lot of things as well, so doesn't mean that I'm a "senior", my hate list would mean anything to anyone.

take it easy man!

Why not burn it again? Just the top. It may give even better and more shocking results. Don't get me wrong, i'm not being sarcastic. But do protect the neck joint and the fretboard before you light it up. Plus, i don't see the need to burn the pickup rings and the pickup. Also, spare the knobs.

I see it as a piece of art, and also a statement that the owner is trying to make. If you gig with it, for sure, some audience is gonna go "wow, look at that beaten-up axe..." ;)

keren Reez...
Beneran dibakar ya gitarnya? Pickupnya ampe ikutan melting...
Salute :)

Cool Reez...
Did u really burn ur guitar? The pups melted...
Salute :)

No problem Bro Edder....I appreciate all comments....I brought up this thread just to share with all here what I've done during last weekends....If I get bored with it maybe I'll send it to Gr3y to get it repainted.....

Anyway, I didn't burn it ...Aznjt was the one who did it....I created fake burn mark with combination of pencils and markers only....:D

looks like what i just had for breakfast this morning......after a nice one in the loo :D

ask Chanmin for relic tips :p nice, looks like your guitar has just survived WWIII

why does it have two "lobangs" where the pots should be ... Maybe Mr Reez could enlighten us on this?

REEZE!! YOU SOHULD REMOVE THE PORTION WHERE I DID THE CHEKCING (which i really like)

search for the Relic Slash lespauls, thats where im refering to, i think i did a pretty good job on that with the staining and stuff, but the rest of the guitar was gone case

I get bored
Whatdayaknow....

Old habits dei...
In school you are given a desk to help sit and study ....it gets "relic'd"

The best way to relic a guitar is to play it ...and play it well.

Scenario...you have your friends over and you show your perty relic guitar ...everyone goes wow wee ...then you play it ....and everyone goes home!

you are a nice guy ...you will get it ;)
