i've heard stories of the vintage script phase 90 sucking your tone. is that true?
Hi guys, just to revive this thread abit, i am looking for a phaser and has yet to do so to replace my boss ph3 phase shifter (too unorganic to my liking but kinda versatile if u r into crazy phases).
Ized have ordered ur mxr custom shop script phaser yet or r u still looking for one? I am actually kinda torn between the custom script, retro sonic phaser, wounded paw P90 phaser or a byoc script phase (suppose to have it but tymc couldn't fix some parts problems thus it is a goner).
So people pls give me some good suggestions! Thanx!
Oh yeah that i know shredcow, but i thought this is just an inherent problem for the current dunlop reissue phase90 that i am not interested in, but not for their custom shop 74 script phase and their vintage block/script logo phase90 with their original non smd circuit with nicely paired FETs and NOS components.
Correct me if i am wrong shreddy, and thanx for ur suggestions.
I've tried Edo83's 74 Phase 90 and it was nothing short of jaw dropping, at least which tone was concerned. Even Goose himself said it was a really nice phaser, true to the actual 74 specs and the components were full sized not SMD so it can be modded.
Only mod that needs to be done to it is a true bypass mod. I don need it do any fancy stuff whatsoever cos i already have my copilot gyroscope for that.
Mr Bukka, can ah. shipping from tonefactor only 20 USD leh!
You can modify a stock phase 90 with the controls that are on the retrosonic.
I had a retrosonic for a bit - it didn't stay, compared to my BYOC (yeah, its a BYOC) Script Phaser. I THINK... can't really remember... that the retrosonic sounded a bit thinner than the BYOC. Between selling and keeping, the Retrosonic went off.
