Just philospohizing, a band has different sets of assets group namely 1, Members' skills, 2, Cohesiveness, 3,Works and 4, Band name as in its original order, and they go on to interpose each other by the value of each grouping. However, it is only the works of the band that can be tangilbly valued, at least in the Singapore scene context. So, bands getting together needs to be very clear from the start who owns the rights to what, and it is good practive to articulate such matters to prempt ugly break-ups.

Having said that, it is not impossible for you guys to claim, if not to prevent the works from being used without proper authorization. Especially so when materials have been recorded.

This is only one side of the story.
