nah i HOPE to go in there. waiting for the bloody posting results. which i have no idea when it's gonna be. wow. maybe can gimme some pointers on playing eh :lol: and i'm already on your msn list. the guy who asked about the nut at the string block not being able to turn. turns out that the commercial allen key is a tad bigger then the nut. SL didn't gimme the Ibanez key

And note, Ibanez is a Jap brand, they use a different size for their tools compared to America. I can't rem but it think Jap uses the metric system.

Shred man....I would like some pointers too....on HOW TO SET UP MY GUITAR PROPERLY....I am so tired of sweelee and davis and all the other shops i tried....they always mess up something or the other....and tehy cost me a fortune.....I have some strange problems....
1.My action is kinda high...i have an ibanez rg1550..
2.my bridge is kinda raised....i have opened the back and turned the screws al the way in...im guessin i need a new spring...
3.i get some strange sort of fret buzz or noise or something when i bend D up to an E on the B string...
4.i sweat a LOT.....so some parts of my bridge keep rusint and my old pickups rusted too....anything i can do to remove the rust and prevent further rust???
Ofcourse,suggestions from anyone are highly appreciaetd...

I understand. I rem sending my axe to Swee Lee last time, mind you I only 1 guitar, and when it was setup and done, the WHOLE axe was soaked in lemon oil. A nice sheen of lemon oil over everything. Body, pups, trem, neck, headstock, everything. Pretty cool no? Not.
I am not a setup guru ah... i just happen to be working with floyds for a long time and I developed my own way of doing things and stuff. I'll just try to give some advice?

Action is high at which points? Near the nut? Middle of neck? Towards the back of the neck? And how high is your high? Please measure from top of fret to bottom of Low E/Hi E (2 measurements).

You are talking about a 1 tone bend on the B string from the 3rd fret, not the 15th fret?
Is the buzz audible from the amp? You have to turn up the vol of your amp quite high... fret rattle is different from fret buzz.

Wow man... if its rusting, you are too late to prevent it from spreading...the chrome layer would have worn thru to the steel. You can hunt around in places like Homefix or DIY shops for rust remover... but use sparingly and carefully. If you can remove the rust, you can try applying a layer of laccquer... again, carefully. That would help.

As for my action i will measure it exactly at the required points after work and let you know..but the action...is kind of ok nearer to the head and progressivly gets higher as we go higer up the frets....need not tell u how difficult it becomes to play when u go into a solo...but im able to manage for now..wouldnt mind dropping a coupla mm though....Ps mine is a maple neck....
As for my brdige height..i am using standard 9's....I travel every 4 months back to india so there is a drastic temperature change...i attributed it to that....
Well the buzz is at the 15th fret....and its kinda strange...cos it seems at some point through the bend the sound distorts.....I havent checked it out through the amp....i will test it out ....

Check it thru an amp, thats what really matters for an electric guitar.
You can only put a cover on PAF style pups, those where the magnets on 1 coil are all flatheads, the other coil has adjustable philips head screws? Pups like the Dimarzio Tonezone, PAF Pro, Air Norton, all can have pup covers.... but the tone will change lah. I don't think you want plastic covers, look fake.
Anyway, once you buy new pups or stuff, please rememeber to wipe it down! After playing, before playing, before putting it to store... you absolutely must do that.
The Edge Pro trem on your axe isn't rare.. its just expensive (like every ibanez trem)... check evilbay for some sales.

alright man my msn is sidsw_2002@hotmail.com...but i generally come online only at night for an hour or so..no msn allowed at work :? ....ya i am wiping my pickups as much as i can....but when i say sweat..i mean after playign for half an hour i look like i played one on one with michael jordan....wet as a a pig in the rain ...yea i guess something is wrong thats why i gave it to sweelee and davis to fix....they sure had no problems charging me but they didnt fix it.... :x ....how do i fix this neck relief problem....ya man the edge is soo damn expensive...hope mine stays intact for a while

hehe....im kinda sorry to say this :lol: buti have lost faith in sweelee and davis.....they both provided me with substandard service.....there were only 2 sales persons who provided me good service...i wont mention their names for fear of prejudice...
hehe i think Its better if we meet up sometime....maybe when i can get a break from work :evil: ...hehe it would be nice to meet a fellow softie as well.....hehe lets try the weekend sometime can??....i will msn u at night...
