Militant escape- Security in S'pore?

it's just weird how the most wanted man in singapore which is the JI Leader in Singapore can get away from the detention centre.
i just wondering exactly how he do it.

Here are some facts -

1) He's a 45 year old man
2) He walks with a limp
3) The Home Minister said he escaped (from a high security detention centre no less) when he was allowed to go to the gents during family visitation hours.
4) The Home Minister apologised for the 'security lapse' and assured that the escapee is not a threat to the public.
5) It's been almost a day since he escaped but no capture yet

Personally, I don't think it's an inside job cos I don't think our civil surfers here are that brave to do this kind of thing.

Anyway, here's a picture of the latest pursuit of the escapee by SPF.

PICTURE REMOVED

So much for our elite force!!! maybe hes tired chasing thieves, so he took a breather.

haha i think its an inside job. they said he ran away while going to the toilet and if security was that tight, it would be near impossible to get out. he must have planned the escape for the 1 year he was inside.

I swear he used some "magic" to get out of there. He literally escaped in broad daylight. and don't tell me nobody was accompanying him when he went to the washroom?

Havent they seen too many predictable movies where the hero (or in this case the prisoner) escapes from the toilet? haha. too overdone man.

I find it pretty disgusting the way some of you are dissing the police and national security in general. Think about it.

anyone who is in that kinda situation, dont have to watch tv to learn how to play. I supposed he didnt grew up in the internet age of google, forums or reality tv shows, so that prolly make it easier for him, in the sence of him using his brain more and sense of sight to avoid detection, amist the loop holes of the detention center...

internet and tv make up dumb, beware. We must think more, not watch or read more!

a national controversy.we need a little of action now and then.this is best of them as they come.

you know, threat or no threat to the public, we should still be vigilant and be prepared right.
like, regard him as a threat.

for all you know, he could still cause terror, one way or another, with no regard of the safety of civilians.

phoo. and we just started on terrorism for social studies 2 days ago.

oh yeh. this morning I went to class, everyone was so quiet. when our teacher walked in and asked what happened, everyone was shouting "WE'RE GONNA DIE! We're gonna get bombed!"
because SJI International is just behind my school.
it was funny, a lil funny, in a way.

I thought Singapore is joining the world cup in 2010?! Youth Olympics now?! CONSPIRACY THEORY!!!

Well, back to the topic..this dude..better get caught soon.

well, from the media reports he's quite an "ambitious" person.

I swear that fella's got some plan up his sleeve. People who escape out of Singapore's prisons usually get caught within a matter of hours because they have no plans after they get pass the walls. This guy must have planned it damn well to not even get noticed.

One of the places he planned on bombing was MOE HQ. Going there tomorrow for briefing sia..
