Men's Fashion

Anybody dare to dress up like 80's metallica?
and march along cineleisure and orchard? sure it will gives those trendy wankers a a shiver down their spine! lol

Short pants and collared shirts and loafers is the most over-worn combi now. I hope guys stop shopping at Topman cos it really sucks.

And wearing short pants really requires a suitable amount of leg hair, not too thick, not too sparse lol. From the p.o.v of a girl la.

No leg hair how? :(
Use black pen I guess (leg-hair makeup?). =P

I agree that people should just wear what they like, be it metrosexual skinny jeans, or baggy hip-hopper style, metal spikes and leathers, conformists/non-conformists, plain o' t-shirt and pants, or just be a complete hobo-sexual...its our freedom. ;)

anyway at the end of 5 pages or so, i do feel that this is one of the more fruitful discussions on soft.com's music kopitiam.

what a relief to see this as opposed to "what's wrong with the singapore music scene nowadays?"

i hope the discussion continues, even if men's fashion is all about simplicity to begin with.

Ron McGovney? Dave Mustaine looks epic in that picture. I probably would dare to dress like that(if I had equally long hair). At least it shouts "don't give a shit" unlike the current culture of huge glasses/NUM singlet/fbt shorts/havaianas slippers/skinny jeans/TOPMAN shirt etc. I think I just listed down the entire wardrobe of a Singapore tool.

hehe, by being different and like those in the metallica old pic, is as good as the rest of the singapore younger folks nowadays who wear huge glasses/NUM singlet/fbt shorts/havaianas slippers/skinny jeans/TOPMAN shirt, but in a different attire and era...

physically, it look different, psychologically, its the same, one is of standing out being the same as of 2010 plus minus 5 years, the other is standing out, being the same, circa 1980s.

Isnt it interesting that when we dont give a shit and wear like them, we are actually caring some shit internally that some how masked our initial ideal of not giving a hoot or 2...

Being different with the rest, but somehow being the same as those who dont give a hoot. And most of the time, its funny how some of us would think we are unique somehow when theres a lot more out there who could be the same as us..

oh well, wear what we like and be appropriate for the occassion!

cool can be subjective though. For some, why they wear a tee and jeans back then, prolly aint bout cool as what we see now, but more of economical and cheap. The working class attire kinda.

hehe, imagine if theres any local band having a band photoshoot in their "everyday wear at home, heartland style attire" and for them to make a name 10, 20 years later, those singapore heartland hdb attire could be a hit as well.
