K all, I've just collected my share of the goods from jbg last night. On a last note, i'd say we should all thank him for not only helping all of us in ordering the trem, but also in getting it at such a good price. so dude, THANK YOU!!

P.S. Thanks to fgl to for selling me his gotoh too, not i can not only replace my RG's lousy trs, but i can give my strat a new trem too

After the last post,manage to get 1 more from quantumvortex nice to meet you bro & thanks again for your help!Guess now the hassle of being "out of tune" is very minimal thanks to the gotoh.Have fun everyone!

Be careful when installing or removing (with all those hammering and pulling) - This could happen!!!

I'm sending this back for one of you guys for a replacement.
Gotoh wants to to improve this design, which is great!

Since there is no more breakage - I'll close this, sending the damaged trem post back for replacement.

How would the locking screw be the cause of that breakage?

I think its the process of installation.

Can go to Davis and ask for an Ibanez locking post. They sell them there.

gotoh spring claw has no solder-able surface, where do you all solder your
guitar electronics's ground wire?

Soldered my ground wire onto a cable lug and screw that onto the block

enjoying my Gotoh already :rock:
