A muslim state claiming Bak Kut Teh... I really wonder...

Haha, I'm really amused by how petty they are over such things.
This kind of thing is what a Malaysian Minister gets paid to do ah??
Contest with other nations over food origins...
So bo liao, how does it help their tourism industry?

its really just a retaliation to the Indonesians from the Tari Pendet row.But to respond to chldish behaviour with more childishness is just stupid.Like Obama said,'they're just jackasses'

Maybe she doing this for publicity? Put malaysia in the news then attract tourist? Just an opinion...

I wouldn't diagree with your opinion, cause then people who read the news will start flocking there and taste and "see the differences" and compare. And out of 100 people who will be there to compare food, there will be a solid few out of the three figure digit that will agree that their food is much better compared to the one they tasted. Thus giving them even more opportunity to stir stuff up like "Our food taste more original than blah blah" and etc.

Why not? If they can pull this one off, smart move to them then.

it's a way of distracting the Malaysians. they keep portraying singapore as the "common enemy" of all malaysians in hope that they will somehow feel a sense of belonging to their own nation.

we all know that as of now, Malaysia has no capability to solve it's own national problems. they have no choice but to play the "nationality card" in ordered to distract their malaysians from the real problems within their country.

it's just like how when George Bush realised the war on terrorism was inflicting serious costs on the U.S army, he invaded Iraq to distract his people from the real problems. Saddam became his scapegoat.

And the Iraqi war is still costing millions of money and lives even up to now

Oh well, whatever the case is, around this region its impossible to say which food belongs to which country (unless you can give a flawless explanation on the origins. the creator of chilli crab in singapore is still around anyway :D)
you can only compare and contrast and see which ones suit your tastebuds better

War Economy and greed for frossil fuel.. but we are talking about food...everyone's reluctant in giving away the title to someone who wants just to rip it off our status!! what the hell!!?? by putting in Tao Kee in your bah Kut Teh makes it authentic? ...by putting in scrambled egg instead of a sunny side uo egg makes you more authietic???

Why wanna do that!? ...each region has its own...so by claiming whats yours...is it really yours?!!!!??
