hey! why hasnt my name been included? hahahaha i could count in as the untimate lowballer (but doenst mean i dont get the best deals here hehe)

its just a case of different points of view:

seller wants to get the best offer he could get.

buyer wants to buy cheap (why would he look here. he could buy in sweelee).

if you dont like the offer, then do not reply or simply say, thats too low for you. remember, you are on the mercy of the buyer because youre the one who wants or needs to get rid of an item. DONT BE OFFENDED with low offers because thats but natural-- who in the hell wants to pay more if he can get it less, right? so when you put FIXED, make sure you mean that and will never ever let go of that item for a price lower than your FIXED price. in my experience, FIXED is NEVER FIXED. youll end up eating your words

buyers, dont offer a price you wont follow through. you only waste time and effort.

i think, james must delete this thread and lowballing isnt wrong! i know alot ppl lowball but like i tell u it's not wrong!

Lowballers should start an L.A. - Lowballers Association. Then collectively, they can go around and start pissing people off. :butthead:

Wow, I didn't know so many people talking about me! haha.

Sorry to all sellers if they get annoyed by my asking for lower than asking price.

But in mitigation: if you don't want to get hit by the lowball, don't play football.

Haggling is part and parcel of doing good business practice. D Trump's ethos: always ask the seller "is that the best you can do?" Seven immortal words to live by, if you ask me.

Here's the thing for buyers: Any smart buyer would never pay asking price unless absolutely necessary. And never more than what they're willing to pay for. If the seller's price is too high, but on the offchance that he'll change his mind and reduce meet their price, buyers will always haggle/ask for discount/lowball whatever you want to call it. What's the worst that can happen? The seller disagrees. That's all.

Sellers: You are the guys dictating the terms and conditions, NOT the potential buyers. So if you don't want to go low, tell the lowballers - NO, SORRY. Finish. No need to get worked up about them. Look for people willing to meet your price.

If you can't sell at that price, THEN think about lowering your price, or give a better package? EG: buy guitar, throw in capo, strap, cable, DI Box all for the same cool price of $XX.

Another Trumpism: Cover your bases. Don't put all your eggs into one basket, you know? You'll only get upset yourself when things go wrong.

btw, I always start off asking for 50 percent discount! hee!

wait... dont ignore lowballers tell them nicely that the price they are asking for is not acceptable and they might pay you your asking price. happens to me twice wanted to sell my washburn for 140 and this girl offer my 70 for it and i say too cheap. in the end she gave me 140 for it plus a few drinks. some more she's a hottie....

actually when she offered me drinks it was my first and last time drinking. didnt even know it was beer. just thought it was some type of really concentrated tea or something

deathism: the guitar? not sure bout that...the girl is a little bit trashy.also in a good way. 8)

nvr smell a beer before that incident...while i was drinking, i tried to keep my face from not twitching and act cool.cos she kept starring at me... must give good impression
