Local shop selling Local cds

I can't help but notice most bigger music chains in SG don't stock alot of albums by local acts..

tried searching around in the forums too, hoping to find a thread of suggested stores.. Hoping to find a place where most local cds can be found..

But couldn't source out anything.. so would appreciate any help in finding key music cd storesin SG..

u can try going to roxy records at excelsior shopping centre (city hall), its at the 3rd floor if im not wrong. or u can go to earshot cafe at the arts house, they carry a bunch of local cds as well.

well thanks for that.. but im actually looking for like more obscure SG bands.. maybe not obscure, but lesser known bands.. i.e. not bands like observertory, ronin, concave scream..

beat merchants has a couple. Earshot, ignite, gigs.
I've Ronin's Do or Die got it from Sembawang Fest 2 years ago. Got my electrico albums and The suns from hmv though. Hmv has a concave scream and a few other local band cds. O! Borders too. I got my Pug jelly album from WMUM though. The very very old album. Hehehe. Ok i talk to much.

Earshot at arts house, roxy music at excelsior hotel(if they are still around that is), straits record at bali lane etc

Most locale album, wont be able to find in major retail shop. Only those distro by the bigger lable, will find its way there or bands with budget to do extra, inorder to put their cd into major retail store...

Most local album still pretty much a diy indie thing, you will find them in the 3 places mentioned above and some jamming studios coz the band members might run round to put the cd on signment basis with the studio. So next time if round jamming studio, can lookie round see if they have any locale album

worst come to worst, with the internet and sites like myspace, just send them a mail and most prolly will get answer on where to get releases, from the band members themself...

All those bands are Cd's can be got easily just go for thier big gig's.... Bay beats Limesonic....
