Lets discuss up and coming news about Metallica, one of the Gods Of Metal

i don't know,i find it hard to take a guy seriously whose name references to a hair style and meant 'fake (mo)hawk'

Its just a user I used since I was 8 and its the user I use for all of my registrations to any stuff. Thats why I still use it. Although I think it sucks, many people have teased about it.

metallica. gods of metal? i guess not. black sabbath is the gods of metal. metallica are followers of black sabbath. anyway lets discuss this metallica topic.

No Life Till Leather demo - The only demotape which got dave mustaine. i still keep it in my possession and its one of my cult collectors demotape. Oh don't forget this is a handwritten demo.

Kill Em All - The debut album. Really STRAIGHTFORWARD THRASH / SPEED METAL. I love this album.

Ride The Lightning - Not so great like the first one because I didn't dig on Fade To Black so much.

Master Of Puppets - Orion is still my fav track list from this album.

...And Justice For All - I trully like the sound and aggression on this album. No bass sound makes the whole band totally raw.

Metallica (Black Album) - I rather listen to ...And Justice For All.

Load - I rather listen to the Black Album.

Reload - I rather not listen at all.

St Anger - Wasted my money on this album. Nice DVD by the way.

Death Magnetic - Seems like a Slayer rip offs.

My interests in Metallica is only until ...And Justice For All album. After that, to me, Metallica are the next big thing on the TV. Even till now I love to go back and listen to their demo. Raw sounds and killer solos by dave mustaine. but of coz u have ur own perceptions. peace.

Actually I agree with you. I created this thread to see who'll flame em' and who will not. I expected this. Just as I thought. I also wanted to find more information about them cos I just started listening to them in January this year.

Death Magnetic sounds so different from the others, its sounds more "modern" than the other albums. St Anger had raw drums, but all and all it wasn't that good.

Ride The Lightning is my favourite album. All the songs in it are my favourite songs except like what you said, Fade To Black. Sounds like shit.

And yeah, Black Sabbath is my chosen God Of Metal as well. They invented Metal, with one of their songs, Iron Man. Tony Iommi is the inventor of Metal riffs. With his Drop C tone.

Ozzy, well his undescribable. Cos he rule. Brit ftw! \m/

the some kinda monster dvd was totally lame...grown metalheads sitting and crying at group therapy....

Metallica does still rule.......too many haters and wanna be haters...who just love to say metallica's done and sold out...blah blah....get a new story...its about time...

death magnetic kicked ass......it was metallica doing what they do best...writing killer metal song hooks.....the vocals were average....the production was not meant for hetfield vocals...the song structures and music was NOT slayerish...the production was....unforgiven 3 was a disappointment but i liked the album as a whole...

I supported metallica through the years....I thought Load and Reload were great rock albums....enjoyed those.....but the whole St.Anger episode was pathetic...

That aside....There's no metal without metallica...

You supported Metallica through the years and you can't listen the similarities of Death Magnetic and Slayer? Why did they even chooses Rick Rubin? Because their songwritings is getting aggresive after St Anger. The only producer they knew who can produce their kind of aggression is the legendary Rick Rubin who have produced most of Slayer's albums. Rick Rubin sound of Slayer is inevitable in Death Magnetic.

You even thought Load and Reload were GREAT rock albums? Rock yes. Great no. Heavy no no no. James were going bluesy and country roots on those two albums but still they have to maintain the Rock element. And true fans of their earlier stuffs like me hated it. Hair is gone. More ballads. No aggression at all on those two albums.

There's no metal without Metallica? I'll have to disagree. There's no metal without Black Sabbath. Even without Metallica, we still have Iron Maiden, Judas Priest or maybe Megadeth.

I'm also a fanatic of Metallica but mine stops at ...And Justice For All. Please go back to the earlier times.
