Isn't it kind of unfair compare GNR or Metallica with Blink?

I mean Blink is obviously a band just having fun and writing simple music. GNR and metallica are more music inclined wad. Everyone have different tastes in music. Blink concert is mainly about just having fun, GNR/ Metallica's is mainly let you see till' 8O .

P.S : "Blink-182" was actually named one of the top 50 albums of 2003 by rolling stone mag. it's quite deep. 8O And yes, I'm a fan, and I do listen to toher music like GNR.

1. its not really about shredding.
Cos james hetfield can't shred, but he palmmutes too! like a punk and chugs his metal to monstrous rhythm battery not found anywhere else.

2. I'm not a metallica fan! Sompa! but i appreciate good music.

3. yes! I'm a guns and xxxxing roses fan, but when did i ever psycho you to listen to them, I only said 10 years ago their concerts also more massive then the ones blink have now. and Metallica started out with a mega Underground fanbase to begin with. Its the real music that brought them where they are now.

4. The reason i posted is because someone very myopic started saying that its so sad no one listens to mettalica or gnrs anymore. its so unfair blink's concert is so great now that metallica or gnr can't hold a candle to them anymore. Which i totally cannot believe that someone will just post it like that without thinking.

5. yes you are 16 and you dont know the world, so go check out the dictionary and check out this word. MYOPIC.

6. and plz dont take it like i'm forcing the 2 bands down your throat, cos theres no point.

3. ok... yeah. have you ever been to gnr and blink concert and compare the crowd? neither have i. and why "real" music have to be all the underground bands?

i have to say metallica and gnr are great bands... its not that i had nvr listened to them before. they are good, but too bad their record label didnt do much to promote them, unlike blink. and abt the little "phrase" u got there, yes i'm in the small well, then when i got up, i saw the world was too wide for me to explore for now so i'll just chill out and take my time.

As for me... personally..... i went from pop like westlife to punk like blink182 and mxpx to old school bands like cream to heavy rock like metallica then back to punk with simple plan and now into jrock with L'arc en ciel. Probably end up in blues soon cos jus got introduced to mr joe pass but for now still jrock.

I believe genre is jus man's way of classifying music..... punk, rock, jazz, pop.... I believe to him his own.... u like means u like lar... what i like today does not mean i would like them tomorrow... ... i dun mind jamming to a song that rocks even if it was sung by britney....but on the same note... jus cause its by metallica does not mean i would like it either... most important i feel is the music... whatever makes u jump up and grab ur guitar/bass/drumstick/microphone/piano/girlfriend or boyfriend(top dance that is i wanted to put mother but thats jus really really lame) is to me good enough liao...
