Korn guitarist finds God, leaves band; Blink 182 splits

i wanna try bsb larger than life, that one go tapping solo sumore, haha, backstreet boys solo burn anything blink got to offer, so much for gays
 
I'm not a Korn fan, but I would say i'm a fan of God. Used to play lotsa progressive rock on the guitar, but was never satisfied/happy, until i dedicated my musicianship to God. I can fully understand Welch's decision, and deep down inside, i'm really glad for him. I sincerely hope he doesn't get any flak (especially anti-religious flak) for his decision, and wish him all the best for his trip to Israel.
 
well, good for you. but to each his own.
There are lots of happy secular muscians around as well.

Lol, and i was soloing to Britney's Girl in my mirror from one of her older albums. Haha. It's fun i tell you. :D

Lol i remember last time when i was a gi na britney was popular as shit and i remember everytime go music shop with my friends they will be looking at A1 and westlife and shit and i will always look at the metallica or kid rock or rhcp cds and always feel so pissed with them for liking such crappy music .... Well whatever makes you guys happy i guess ....

dude, a crap band trying to cover KORN makes so much more freakin noise with their very annoying metalzone which they dont noe how to use plus the drummer doing a "triple-pedal" destruction and whatever.

ima blink182 fan and i always wonder why people hate blink so much. of coz they're not the best band in the world. but i think they really don't reserve all the thrashing.

first of all , punk rock relies on fast paced power chords and palm muting.this 2 techniques form the backbone of punk rock.if u know how to play a couple of power chords and palm mute which i presume even a beginner would soon get use to it , u get punk rock music.there are hardly any solos in punk rock only riffs.my frens think dat punk is cheap music cause u juz palm mute all the way can get punk rock music already and i really dun understand why youths are so ADDICTED to their music , i mean...it's like ,"Blink 182 is the best band in the world savour it blar blar blar...." have u seen their live concerts before? take a look at the audiences and awe in wonder at their enormous numbers.

for other bands who specialise in more "complicated music techniques" for example Guns N Roses or Metallica.if they were to hold an outdoor concert as wad blink usually does , i think the amount of audiences attending their concerts will be less than half of blink's audience.


den u will start to wonder , how on earth can a punk rock band attract so much people and yet they only technique they know is power chords and palm muting when Metallica's james and kirk are shredding on the guitar and no one gives a damn....they start to think it's unfair thou rite?

the same concept goes to aspiring musicians i mean u spend so many hours practicing other more complicated techniques on ur guitar and there u see a punk rock band playing power chords and palm muting gaining much much more popularity than a rock band that uses more complicated techniques.how would u feel rite? especially if ur a Metallica , Guns N Roses , Def Leppard , Led Zapplin etc fan.these bands gain popularity thru hours and hours of focusing on their guitar skills and techniques and not to forget the drums as well and i think they deserve all the respect they can get....

besides usually punk rockers are the very one kind of people.they think they are the best guitar players on Earth when all they know are power chords and of course their "trademark signature" palm muting technique....

from my personal experience , people who are into punk rock do not spare a thought for other musicians out there.they think music revolves ONLY around the guitar and drums.they look down on other musicians who play instruments other than the guitar and drums.this is wad i call by being a narrow minded musician...

no offence to all u punk rock fans especially blink fans out there but i'm juz voicing out my thoughts here....
 
I guess you can't put it that way la .... BSB got concert that time see how many ppl turn up .... And all they do is dress in stupid clothes and sing .... The world is unfair ...
 
but i hope u get my concept example when u compare Metallica to Blink 182 in terms of gaining popularity wif the masses....Blink 182 wins and i'm sure u will definitely feel kinda sucky rite? i think Metallica should win over blink 182 because they have loads of other complicated techniques up their sleeves as compared to blink 182...and yes...THE WORLD IS UNFAIR

I'm not certain which album he plays on, but I know for sure that he's their touring guitarist.
And for a certain Enrique Iglesius(sp?) as well.

For those who haven't heard, Greg Howe is one helluva smooth fusion shredder.
 
aiya..still i dont see whats so nice abt blink except for their sloppy playing. if you want to see energy and power look at ramones or new york dolls... nowadays all like posers only to me...i look at simple plan and good charotte i can vomit blood..hahahahahhaah
 
yes i've heard of them a lot of times.all of them are graduates of Berkly eh? and i've also heard that their songs can last for as long as 20 mins and the vocalist can go backstage for a smoke and come back and it's still not his turn yet cause the other band members are still busy soloing away....
 
nowadays its not abt how u well you can shred your guitar or wat. even if you could shred like crazy but the rest of the song suck, who cares. plus metallica and gnr write songs abt mature stuff, adulthood and whatoever.

the mainstreem market is made up of teens and the young people who don't really noe music. they dont care if the band is very good, they just want catchy songs which is fun to hear and not complicated. blink182 is like that. thats why they are popular. (but they suck playing live).

all the hit songs have a stand out chorus, and songs with very long solos are cut short. yeah. the world is unfair. but i still like blink though for being one of the first bands i ever listen to.
 
Yeah different people have different tastes, i've learnt to accept that. Paris Hilton becomes a heiress of a hotel and is freaking rich, it sucks, but that's life. I felt the unfair thing a long time ago, being a buckethead fan and wonder if he'll ever come to singapore cause no one will probably come to see him except a few people..... 100 oso can consider few la if he travels all the way ....
