thank you Blink for easing our suffering by splitting up.

they are not officially disbanded yet

here is the article.....

Following frenzied of rumours speculating that the band had split (many sparked by Jane’s Addiction’s Dave Navarro, read the story on UG) a new official statement has confirmed that million selling punks outfit Blink 182 have disbanded for the foreseeable future, reports Xfm.

The rumours started when Blink 182 unexpectedly – and with no apparent reason - pulled out of the Music For Relief: Rebuilding South Asia concert in California scheduled to take place on February 18. The speculation was compounded when former Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro posted a message on his personal blog 6767.com (read the story on UG).

However a new official statement on the Blink 182 website has confirmed that the band will be “going on indefinite hiatus”. The message reads:

"For over a decade, Blink 182 has toured, recorded and done non-stop promotion all while trying to balance relationships with family and friends.

”To that end, the band has decided to go on an indefinite hiatus to spend some time enjoying the fruits of their labors [sic] with their loved ones. While there is no set plan for the band to begin working together again, no one knows what tomorrow may bring."

As yet there has been no word about whether the split will affect the individual bandmember’s business arrangements (which include a massive successful skatewear company) or solo projects which include the groups Boxcar Racer and The Transplants, both of which enjoyed considerable success.

if it's official that blink has really disbanded , den we can expect to hear much less "noise" coming from the jamming studios in the near future....

hey i ain't no blink fan... but i dun think they deserve all the trashing they are getting from people( go check out the forum at ultimate guitar)

They did set the standard for all the punk bands out there, can say is they defined punk as it as today. The first riff i learnt was a blink song "damn it. ". Many of us may have grown out of them, but u must admit once upon a time they rocked our world.

Anyway to blink... I may have never been ur fan once and even one of ur worst critic. But i shall still salute u and wish u all the best.

gosh.. please at least make your comments sounds nicer.. as bad blink might be their music.. there are still fans of them around.

they r not disbanded yet.. the lastest news travis made clarification on korq radio or something.. can download them.

dude, a crap band trying to cover KORN makes so much more freakin noise with their very annoying metalzone which they dont noe how to use plus the drummer doing a "triple-pedal" destruction and whatever.

ima blink182 fan and i always wonder why people hate blink so much. of coz they're not the best band in the world. but i think they really don't reserve all the thrashing.

Lol, i'd much rather listen to a cover band play blink music than Korn's stuff. Like you mentioned, they don't really cut it.

Well, lets just respect each other's choice of music and influence, no bashing needed :D

yup one of their gd member and for me one the coolest....i don mind ppl ditching their music coz is up to individual anw

hehe.. although i never listen much to them nowadays.. but still they are the first rock band i ever listened..

the first song i listened was all the small things that made me picked up guitar and band.. otherwise maybe im still got britney spears and bsb.. yea maybe 5566 too

LOL i still have my britney, backstreet boys, nsync etc stuff around the place. It's cool to listen to pop once in a while. But recently i've taken a liking to attempt soloing over those nice pop songs. Some of them really have good sounding chord progressions.
