Korg Tonework 1500G display very dim. HELP!

HI guys, I've got this Korg toneworks 1500g pedal and I've always wonder how come the LCD display is so dim. When its on the floor, and I'm standing up jamming, I can barely make out the display. I thought it was normal until I saw my friend's exactly the same pedal and his was much much brighter.

I wonder if any of you guys have this problem too? What do you think is causing this problem? A blown bulb? and if so do you guys know where I can get this fixed? Thanks

I think there's not much point speculating, if there is a blown bulb would you go open up the entire unit and service the LCD screen yourself?

The best way would be to bring it down to the shop you bought it from, which I presume to be citymusic?

i bought it second hand off a softie. Apparently he didn't know it was a problem too having never seen another same pedal before. Where is city music? Will they do repair even if the warranty is over?
