i got kinda piss with those yamaha sales personnel they seems so uninformed of the MODUS. it was even up in their yamaha website and they just like act blur about it.
well yea the CVP does offers the wooden keys but only for the top model only which is the CVP 409 is it? the touch of it is indeed good! very very good. the MODUS might not cost as much as the CVP if you look at the specs.
i was thinking of changing my acoustic piano to the CVP ones, the touch for my higher frequencies seems very much heavier. and its very irraiting when you could not resonace it. and also the sustain pedal didnt work, the one who sold the piano laugh the case off saying it was impossible. it wasent after months of calling that they agree to fix on it. and indeed there was something wrong with the sustain. It was a christophric series. i now have phobia against anything that goes with christophric hehs.
i didnt tried the piano that time my mum brought it, she brought my sister along and they were offered the display piece which they tried on but my mum thinking the display piece was lousier rejected it for the new one. i didnt play that acoustic piano much .
however when i sank my hands to the CVP309 today its very much excellent in touch, maybe i was lost in touch for months already. but the sounds from the sample sounds great and they were infact in discount now costing about 6000 , the actual was 8000. it was their clearence sale, and i bet their next sets will be the MODUS. and the newer versions of the CVP (they claim it was CVP409).
both the MODUS and CVP would be great if you are looking for the authetic piano touch. : ) and sadly the CVP 309 are only left with the rosewood colours ones, i wanted the ebony ones or i will grab it straight away. yamaha decline to bring in any of the 309.
i guess my only hope is luther then ?

hmmms.
well back to the thread, i feel an investment is needed, but a wise investment should be noted of course, digital piano's or the CVP 309 clavi's, does matched up to the acoustic models or even so much more better when you are comparing the way it sounds. i do not dare to say touch of course. but if you really did try the CVP 309 i could assure you its authetic enough to pass of as the maybe above average acoustic piano's now.
its really lucky to play in a steinway or any famous piano like the bosendofer or the yamaha C1. i feel having a 10000 SGD piano to play with since young is very much of a privellge. and well who dont hope best for their children right : ). 10000 SGD is indeed alot of money, for me i could have spent it all on samples

oh maybe a good pre amp.! (okay out of topic) but what i mean is 10000 is alot of money, so you should be careful when you are picking the final piece.
good luck!
