Juz got my epiphone les paul

yeah juz got my 2nd axe todae. Despite hearing lots of negatives stuff on epiphone lp. But dunno if im lucky or somethibng, my set seems to be perfert The set neck is alright, finish is brillant. Had check everything except the sound on amp. Cos im sleeping with my granny hehe, cant on my amp now. And also, im very surprise at the weight of it. Not too sure is it whether im used to bass guitars, les paul seems to be very small and light to me, unlike some pp who felt tat its too heavy. Yeah my set its made in china, can found the sticker behind the headstock. Overall for the quality for now, its seems that it isnt that bad

haha i got 1 too! mine is made in korea though.. heard the china 1s r nt as gd. no offence mate! haha but mine gt quite a lot of probs like buzzing n intonation probs. shux i didn't check it properly then. how much is urs?

i got it from luther for 599. Also they includes a softbag and a ibane strip for me. hmm for the quality build so far very happy with it, but for the sound and feel, cant really test out, afraid might awake my granny. Cant go out to living room either my mum or sis will kill me if she saw tat i got a new guitar again

You might take some time to get used to the fat neck profile . And take out the pick guard, les pauls look alot better without the pick guard

made in china les pauls seems to be lighter...
but 599 seems abit too pricey.

lol im not too sure whether izzit my previous e.guitar is too crap or something, i feel tat the neck is alot thicker and quicker! lol and the weight too. mine is in ebony, luther only have this colour ATM. Actually wanted to get amber, but nvm ebony seems fine as well. But i kinda hate to glossy look, will prefer those non gloss type. will post a picture tml, cant wait to touch my baby tml!

hmm im not too sure about that, i called and emailed them and they send it over my place on the day i made the purchase. of course payment cash on delivery. Thats really a plus! u can view their guitars on sale over thier webby. www.luthermusic.com, but the website seems to be down atm

haha great man......another member to the les paul club....
i'm a fan of les pauls and nothing else...a gibson purist actually but no money so i bought the epiphone les paul standard plus.....flamed top cherry sunburst.....mine is made in china too and i have to warn you it sucks........the wood quality is horrible i heard......a lot of people have a lot of problems....

i bought mine at the swee lee 40% off for all les pauls......the day i brought it home and i was carrying it around the strap pin came out with the wood....brought it back to swee lee to change and the same damn thing happened again........ended up repairing and now there is no problem.....

i took off the pickguard too i like it like slash's guitars......

intonation wise a lot of adjustment needed to be done by yourself to see how it suits you.....but the fretboard worns out very fast for mine......

lol, congrats bro! hope your mum wont scold u for that when she sees it...(yea she will, sooner or later)...hahaha...my epiphone LP's got no problems so far, despite me leaving it lying around without the case all the time... im kind of lazy to pack up after playing u know..

eh u can try allmusic at parklane or head down to sweelee? what colour is yours? actually i almost got my lespaul ebony from the sale but then end up i rejected it cos i thought ebony was quite.. ugly so now im saving for maybe something like strat or an ibanez, easier to play with i guess. and i kind of wanna play with trem bar

his is ebony....also the pickups for the epiphone les paul seem to be getting worser and worser these days the sound is quite muddy........i myself already thinking of changing the pickups

yar agree with u, its kinda ugly, if only its in those non gloss black woo. yeah i changing the pickups soon( depends the sound result after i tml try out), most likly next month. p.s u know those rectangular hardcase? can les paul fit in? lp seems to be thicker.

omg . . . i hope tat doesnt happen to me. btw do u have the sticker QC pass or something similar to that? i got it at the back of the headstock. Maybe mine got some special QC stuff ahah , i hope so :lol: it seems that im the only person who like the pickguard, i think its better looking with its pickguard lol

p.s or you could even buy a gibson original hard case and fake people that you're carrying a gibson les paul :lol:

hmm but those hardcase got the shape of the guitar right? dun really like the design of it hehe, also its cant store pedals, and addition items right? cosi saw those rectangular hardcase they seems to have pretty lot of other spare space to store maybe yr pedals if u dare, maybe cables or pick or something, my picks always went missing -.- got a forgetful mind

Hardcases are heavy. Good protection but heavy.... and heavy is a bad bad thing.
