Juz got my epiphone les paul

hahaha......but guitars are not meant to be showcased aren't they.....their purpose in life is to rock n roll......i'm sure slash would have did the same even with a limited edition guitar that he owned....anytime you don't want it.....give me a call.....  ......should go see your jamming session man.....get a real look at the guitar itself........some punk bought the gibson slash signature series one from swee lee for 8300.....

WAAH!! i want.............u willing to play rhythm guitar for us one of these days? Our rhythm guitarist left...so no rhythm for now...our next jam will be next next week i think. cos now my JC bandmates have to prepare for their upcoming promotion exams. haha...

oh....haha how old are you....i'm currently in singapore poly final year....exams will end end of next week then my 4 months of attachment will begin.....

omg.. michael angelo you lucky bastard
btw your slash lp deserves better treatment!
slash doesnt use that guitar anymore in vr right?

he uses his gold top which happens to look something like this :D

but with the open coils

slash stopped using that guitar a long time ago when he felt it wasn't good enough in his guns n roses days......yea he uses the goldtop these days for his live performances most of the time with open coils......is yours a gibson or an epiphone how much did you get it?

its that epiphone with a gibson truss rod , got it for 550 + hardcase. And it happens to be 2nd hand, the condition is super mint, that guy used this as a backup guitar, which he never used it. because he has gibson les paul

haha. congrats on your new epiphone les paul! i have one too... cherry sunburst.. made in china. no problems with it so far tho. except for the fretboard.. like one of you said earlier, there are the white lines. now i dunno whether it is the type of wood or because of dryness. anyboday care to clarify? thanks! :D

i don't know what's the exact reason as to what causes it but if i'm not mistaken it's the wood quality......it's not very good ebony wood and not very well finished.....even for the les paul classic it seems worse

i have those white lines too and thankfully its only on my 1st fret. the other frets are ok. Its definately not dryness, because i tried to flood the 1st fret with that fretboard conditioner and it doesnt seem to get any better. I think its just the wood quality, or sometime when wood ages, you get that kinda sypntoms, its kinda inevitable.

btw i thought the fretboard is mahogany?

nice les paul u got there, you cover up the screw cavities too eh? looks kinda weird haha.

haha yea.......with the open cavities felt weird but sean cheng of ronin leaves it that way........mahogany is the wood for the body isn't it? i don't think les pauls are 1 piece wood guitars

the official epiphone website didnt mention anything ebony fretboards
you saw sean's les paul? his frets are super worn out.I guess if you play like 8 hours every day you get that kinda frets. His pickups selector looks as though its had been circumcised

i got white grains from fret 1 all the way to fret 22 -_- i think its the cutting? i think i might get some lemon oil to try

is there any guide on replacing pickups on les paul? thx :D also i think i changing the 3 way selector too

The Seymour Duncan works super gd on a LP. U can try PRS pup if u got the $. For the neck, try to avoid the SD 59 as it can sound too bassy on a LP.
