jekyl and hyde ultimate overdrive spoilt!!

Guys.. i've got a question. Where should I go to repair my spoilt jekyl and hyde ultimate overdrive ?
When I plug the power cable. SMOKES literally comes out of it as the amp is turned on. I dont understand why since the adapter is also 9mV... usually around how much to repair? any reliable shops? or any members?

I think u mean 9V..check the ma it supplies, could be a 9V power supply but the ma supplied is 1000ma which is usually too much for normal pedals. just go to g77 (cos they're the VS dealer) and SA does pedal repairs too i think.

the current rating of the adapter in mA is fine, even if bigger in value than what the pedal needs.

What it meant is that the adaptor is able to supply up to 1000mA if needed. As for the pedal side, it will only draw whats needed for the operation, it wont take more than what is needed.

Problem will only arise when the adaptor cannot cope with what the pedal is drawing.

Anyway, just send it to the effect tech to take a look. Smoke coming out from pedal is not normal, something got burnt in there liao.

Go down to Peninsula and ask, or give them an email. It's not that hard, rather than sitting here and speculating.
