Jamming CCA in Poly - what do you guys do?

hahah.. u kena banned ah.. i think i know wat sort of genre u play.. heheh
My band no problems ah.. unless the aunty thinks Stone Roses is too loud and noisy :P

haha, I think she likes those old school kampong music, always got big group of old malay people playing that sort of music, either that or a bunch of uniformed kids playing face down.

Well I think seng chai is awesome, quite spacious and 6 rooms no need booking. Just that the amps are abit effed up. The location is PRIME man.. Jurong East. Convienient for an after school jam session.

sheng chai still exist?the f**king auntie band so many people.think they bankrupt already.

There's a 'Jammerz Arena' in RP (under Create.Republic IIRC).. but I'm not in it. These groups are rather 'established' in a sense. Not really keen nor looking forward to hanging out with them due to cultural differences (I'm not "in the scene", so to speak). =\ Furthermore, music's a hobby not a #1 priority in life, so I wouldn't have the discipline to commit myself.

Anyway I've just graduated, but for those who are in RP and ARE interested, jammerz arena is for you. :D

haha seng chai. the auntie is as polite as ever. when we come, she'd always be watching channel u. haha

the drums there arent very good. the sticks are very fragile. i broke a pair and had to pay $1. haha plus she doesnt like it when we scream or shout in the mic.

Seng Chai aunty dun let ppl shout into the mic, yes she 's like dat. But still better than shouting into her ears.. hahaha
I miss the place lah.. those were memorable days of my skipping lessons sessions during my SP days..

i climbed the drums before.haha.insane days.now kena band.sad.they recently upgraded th place but didnt attract much.the amps there are pretty decent but the crappy kids made it sound bad.

upgrade is an overstatement. they just kinda re-did the place abit.. haha! they've been around for more than 15 years siol.. seng chai 4 life yo!

$100 funding is actually very little. Depending on the priorities, renting PA equipment would already take up a huge portion of it.

I guess in NP, the best place WOULD be the LT26. But then we would have to hold it somewhat in a concert kinda style... But no point holding too many gigs/concerts in NP since majority listen to mandopop and r&b.

But then again, if we concentrated on playing gigs outside of school, then what's the point of affiliating ourselves to the school?
