Sucks aint it, after 10 years nothing has changed. Parents still think long hair is gangsterism... wah i say their behaviour more gangsta than anyone else.
As with reservice, I got letter from company stating that its for a concert and that image is highly important in this age of music. Wrote to MINDEF, they say just go in first without cutting. First day during brief Enick cited me out, I said i have company letter, he 'chio' me for a lawyers letter. Of course the company replaced me lah. Bloody mofo. So I shaved bald, they say I part of a mutiny. Like wtf lah? Ask David Gan be camp stylist lah you bloody CBKNNCCB HKCTLMCFH
Poly now can keep long hair or not? Last time got to play hide and run with the warden boy. sickening but fun.

It happened to me, many years ago too... I am quite heck about it, only cut it the day before enlistment, DIY by my sister...
I think I did the correct thing in cutting before enlistment, else I sure kerna mark... Now, it's only photos for memories...

Samson is history..Malmsteen is fastest,and how many of you here have shoulder length hair? even Good lord Jesus have shoulder length hair..How about Kitaro? he refuses to cut and went back japan. In an open society,we respect individual's freedom to keep the most basic element of their body,the hair..why are some people uptight against it? it's mindset only.

For a $4.50 job, i'd say it isn't worth it, unless you're desperate for money right now and absolutely can't find any other job. So I'll say, keep the hair dude!

ok, so im gonna take a few farewell pics before visiting the barber...
NB!!! still think i look better with my F4 hair!
n then grow it again until my parents make me cut it again, if they do...
anyway poly not allowed to keep long hair officially, but the rule is not enforced, im in temasek poly, nothing happened to me even when i came in the prescence of "big shots" like the course coordinator, subject heads...etc.

I've got a wonderful solution...... Been there done that.
Im working in Gallery Hotel and tell u wat. this iz the onli hotel in singapore that allows all staff to dye or keep long hair.
i have long mullets b4 and i highlighted ash, green, copper or whatever b4.
Currently having long fringe and little bit of mullet. haha look like Ace Ventura wit abit of weird highlights

My parents are okay with my hair being on the long side, maybe it's because my DAD used to have long hair when he was my age 
Temasek poly also does seem to be okay with this stuff, i mean, they put up posters on dress codes, stuff like no sleeveless shirts, sandals, torn jeans long hair... hoho but everyone goes around breaking these rules anyway.. let's hope they don't decide to crack down on us.

I feel since u can have females cutting tomboys hair in jobs,u can have girls bartop dancings,and eventually have a casino in singaopore itself,then why not guys be allowed to keep their hair as they like on whatever jobs they do? In one sense,are they hinting that guys with long hairs do not have a stomach which requires food? haha..come on,be progressive! :lol:
