is it true?

citymusic still the main shop bringing in line6 stuff thou. Since they shud be bringing in bigger quantity, it can be cheaper.

luthermusic is kinda like the mom and pop store in US, whereas citymusic kinda like the bigger chain.

People there also make noise bout mom and pop store kinda have a higer price, but thats inevitable. Some will still support M&P shop coz they can be nice people who just in for the trade with passion, but cant compete with bigger chain with better price.

ultimately, its all about choices. Some dont mind paying a bit more for the same thing just for that support to smaller shop, but some, wud just go for the cheapest rate round town.

so which one is/are you/we :D

The ultimatest question....

GOT DISCOUNT OR NOT?

Anyway I shall not comment about the business models that these shops emplo.

One thing that I can say about Luther is that they're honest and they won't rip anyone off. Genuine nice people.

hehe, if only there be shop with such notice on the door

"Please do not ask for discount before or after trying the gear, if we can, we will give it to you even without asking. But if you kept dwelling on "can it be cheaper", "got discount or not', then we will make sure that there is a immediate 20% increase in price even before the instrument is plug in to the amp"

ala_carte, did u see the price at their site or did u go to their shop n ask them?

i saw luther's price on the site and compared it with other items they had.
the city music price is first hand xperience confirmed by a second sales transaction 2 years down the road.

rimuel, wad do u mean by "at times"?

come to think abt it, mr misse's stuff also quite ex compared to the dealer price (juz take the line 6 products for example again).

dealer price will never ever be the selling price. If you are in the pedal biz, selling the product at dealer price, its as good as doing charity work...
