i bought a wilkinson trem that doesnt fit my guitar and i doubt other trems will. my current trem really sux and i bought the wilkison at a good price but it cant fit.

is it possible to get someone to fill the holes up and drill the screws in to match the wilkisons? how much would it roughly cost?

oh sorry for lack of info.

ok it's the yamaha ERG121. i want to replace the trem with the wilkinson trem. the original screw holes are too small and not as spaced out as the wilkison one.

sorry i dont have pics for now.

there is a type of filler call "plastic wood"
can be used to fill up holes and drill. Properties is like wood, sand spary paint etc...

Is ERG121 an expensive axe?
If not can try yourself.

i beg to differ. any manner of wood filler will shrink over time leading to instability as the holes will most likely overlap to some degree. if you really want to do the trem swap, filling up the holes with wood dowels and sanding flush is the only way to go IMO...

My guitar had the same problem too the last time. The wilkinson holes did not align with my guitar holes. I sent it to GC and they did a good job. They filled up the holes and redrilled new holes and fitted the new trem. Good job and reasonable pricing too i would say.. 8)

oh ok i'll try them then!

because i dont dare to do DIY stuff because i've not attended D&T lessons or know how to handle tools.

and the ERG121 is not expensive but my modifications are! hahah...

oh about the model, i'm not very sure. how do i check?
