by installing the bridge pickup in a reverse manner( the treble blade facing the neck, i think) like wat dimebag did, what diff does it make??
i jus got my BL500Xl but i'm wondering should i install it the normal way or the dimebag way.i love his tone but will installing it this way allow me to ONLY play heavy stuff and not other styles(70s southern rock, blues)??

thnks.

Why don't you try it and let us know?

Simple thing to do... unscrew pup (with or without pup ring) and flip, put strings back on, play. Unless your pup wires are too short.

I used to experiment with this quite a bit.

i'm not saying tt's a right or wrong tone.jus wanna noe the diff.

heard sumthing like it gives more bass response?

Shred ,could you share some of ur experince on the tone diff when you switch?

I'll b sending my guitar to G77 cos i have no idea to handle guitar tech stuff.

thnks.

YEap, varies from pup to pup.

Go to the Dimarzio webpage, under their faq section. They talk abt it there.

There will be differences, noticable. I enjoyed the Dimarzio Air Norton in neck more when its flipped - tighter, less boomy.

Don't htink you need a tech to flip - no soldering required, just a physical flip over. DIY first - if there's problems later, then just send it to a tech, I assure you that you haven't destroyed your guitar. Simple thing.
