How bout Behringer products? Rip-offs they may be but whats the quality like?

have any1 tried the X V-AMP or the V-TONE GUITAR GDI21? are they good for their price?

i think in the showroom, the X V-AMP goes for $110 and the V-TONE GUITAR GDI21 goes for $60

i own the X V-Amp.
the delay, flanger, envelope filter(or something) is good.

but the distortion leaves something to be desired...u cnt get a chugga even when u tweak it the to most distorted choice..and it even goes muddy...but the lower distortions sounds good..no problem with it...just that its more of an overdrive than a distortion..

the pedals are however made out of plastic...so becareful..dun think it can last that long..but to think about it...who plays pogo on their pedals anyways..

another gripe on the pedal is that the effects switcher (those two pedals( are placed closely to each other...so when u wanna change effects there's a possiblity u may accidentally switch to another effect..or even skip two effects...but it all needs getting used to..

the most biggest gripe of the X V-Amp is that when u switch between distortion(with or without any effects) to clean (with or without any other effects) u will have this 2 sec(or 3) lag time...and it sucks terribly..thats the only gripe...but if u are using an individual distortion pedal,I dun think that will be much of a problem..as to what i have done..

well, its good for beginners...and last i heard selling price was below 150 (i got it second hand)

i got my little big muff there. usual price is 135. discounted is 115. just be a member (which is free of charge, just go to counter and fill up some stuff) and u get 10% off their products.

Marshall MS-4 Full Stack Portable amp...got it in lieu of cash as payment for my mods...didnt even try it first, looked cute so accepted it...thought it was a crummy lil' kiddy amp...

BOY, WAS I WRONG!

It's really loud for its size and sounds good too...i now use it as my mobile test amp

This is my squier......well...i can prove that squier is not just a wortless cheapo.....i used to underestimate squier before i bought this guitar.....i bought this just to teach my gf how to play guitar(well...as a part of my acquisition also....hahaha)...but now....it become my main subtitute for my fender......

its raw maple neck is the most comfortable neck that i ever play.....well....i never had my chance to play any expensive high end guitar.....but, i own an ibanez RG MIK(sold), Ibanez S series MIJ, Ibanez AF75D MIC, Fender Strat MIJ, Yamaha Strat MIT, Epiphone LP Classic MIC(sold) and Washburn N2 MIK and this guitar SIMPLY BLOWS THEM AWAY in terms of neck comfy.....

the body also made of solid alder body....not plywood compound like some people said......the out of the box action setup is also very low....so i dun have to adjust it

mine is squier strat california series with h-s-s pups config.....i changed the pups to duncan scr-1 or neck, dimarzio style rail pup middle and duncan sh-10 bridge.......

bought it for 270 from ranking sports and music......

for those who want to have good starter guitar that can last to your music journey(quoted from some famous thread.....hahaha) or a reliable backup for your main guitar.....i fully recommend this guitar.......this is the pic of her.......

1. Squiers used to be a run-of-the-mill offering briefly after the Japanese episode.

2. it's not about what 'people said', in the early '90s, they were indeed plywood bodied but the manufacturer came to their senses by the turn of the century.

3. the California Series Squiers are fine guitars. the ones to avoid are the Affinity models.

Ahhhh...reez_rock, I used to have that exact Squier California Series Fat Strat guitar and yeps, the neck is really comfortable to play on. Nice tones on the bridge humbucker. The reason I sold it was I wanted the Strat tone, which meant all single coils for all positions.

Now I own a Squier Standard Strat Deluxe series..its funny tat I wanted to get the Fender 60th Anniversary Mexican Strat and ended up gettting the Squier hohoho..

brother- you could have just swapped the pickguard to accomodate an S-S-S combo 8)

the California series neck is a love/ hate affair. some find that bare wood neck very unacceptable, kinda like waiting for a stray splinter to prick your thumb. that remains personal, more importantly, the guitar's good for the money.

I too, am a proud owner of a Squier Std Strat Deluxe... has FMT. Im not sure of the body though, the site/sticker state Alder or Agathis body.

I don't have a good camera on my phone, so cant take a good shot at it. However, this is its pic straight from the site itself...

It is also my 1st guitar. Costs me $325 (Got it at the 50% sale on 29/12/05)

Ever since I got my RG350 though, I detuned the Squier to Eb for playing Yngwie. RG350 for anything in standard tuning. :)

There's still one more guitar in Sweelee that's the same as mine with the exception of the color. It appears to be paler/yellowish as compared to mine, which is orangely. No idea why though.
