hi i got offer from a friend of my bandmate for an ibanez RG series guitar, she doesn't know what model it is, condition is like 8/10 or more its been 1.5years since she bought it for $700 with amp i think..

shes selling me for $200, without anything else, just guitar, no pics, based on my description, you think its quite a deal?

cus i think $200 is quite a deal

i think its a deal too and if you think its a deal then DEAL but I reckon you should look at it before you deal cos who knows you may get yourself into a bad deal but then IMHO a 200 buck RG is a good deal. Deal or no deal?

kthkbai

hey dude that was some real cool response, haha thanks a lot man, what do the others think??

just wondering whats the lowest-end rg series cost in retail price in singapore?

thanks

Have you checked out e guitar? If not, I STRONGLY oppose buying blindly based on her description to you. $200 may sound like a good deal but if you were to bring back a beaten up/faulty guitar home you'll probably gonna spend a lot more on the repairs.

For eg, little worksmanship faults may not seem very obvious or like a big problem thus giving the 8/10 condition rating, but it may affect the guitar's playablity.

well if the person is really a friend of someone you know, then its much easier to deal with em. and yea, a $200 rg sounds like a good deal ASSUMING its still in ok condition and playable. but 8/10 condition...sounds like a real gd deal.

and for some reason i noticed edder's in a reply-as-quick-as-possible-and-zao! kinda mood eh.

yea. i totally agree to wad fadetoblack has said. u should check it and try it first. dun be another victim. ha.

hi the seller just raised the price to $300 with gig bag, its a RG series guitar, tho she didnt say the exact model number, but she's a trusted friend of my keyboardist

apparently she mentions that the guitar is hardly used so the condition is really really good...

sorry i cant get pics from her, just a rough gauge, assuming the condition is good and its the lowest end of the RG series, you guys still think its a good deal?

many thanX!

still need more details, maybe:

*it's a discont'd model
*equipped with the dreadded TRS vibrato bridge
*it's not worth the asking price...

yup. sometimes, it's like PRESTIGE Ibanez for $200 then upon seeing/ playing it in person: pickups not working, headstock crack, etc...

$200 for an RG is a heck of a good deal. Ibanez's Gio series (like the GRG series) cost significantly more than that.

But I agree with the rest. Check out the guitar first, make sure it is in good condition.
