Ibanez Guitar intonation screw broke

As per topic. I own an RG450MMH . Its got an Edge Pro bridge. I bought it only recently and still under warrenty. The problem is, one day , while tuning my guitar, using the fine tuners, intonation screw that thing, it broke. The screw head broke off leaving the body and thread stuck inside the shaft. I removed the broken screw.

The high E saddle is now compromised because of the absense of an intonation screw. I cannot tune my guitar properly at all and the saddle will not rest properly. I need a replacement intonation screw.

I went to davis. The size they had was too big. Went to Swee Lee, they said they can't do anything about it, even though its under warrenty. I went to www.ibanezrules.com to order the spare parts, the guy only accepts American Bank or Money order or Cash inside Paypal account. I went everywhere, nobody has the intonation screw for Edge Pro.

Please I really need help. I don't wanna resort to buying a new guitar. I'm really sick of having a guitar in this condition and feeling so helpless. I require new intonation screws + washer.

These can be ordered from www.ibanezrules.com under parts section. Or. Anyone who can repair, or can help me money order, or American Bank transfer, please do. I will pay no doubt, but I just need replacement parts.

I hope the SOFTies can help me in this, as I'm really very desperate I'm on my wits end.

If u have paypal, u can transfer $ from ur credit or debit card to the a/c as cash balance. Im pretty sure it can be done...

Read mate.. He does not have paypal.

Well, if u read he did not say he dont have paypal... Since he mentioned Cash in Paypal, i thougt it might be a case where he is a paypal Credit/Debit Card user, with no cash in the paypal a/c. Not sure if u know wat that means

But if u buy things on ebay, some of the US sellers dont accept Paypal payments by Credit Cards for international buyers... They only take paypal if its Cash balance in the a/c...

He mite not have paypal, but since he phrased it that way, i tot it mite be the case... So i just try to give some helpful info... u???

Guys, to put cash in Paypal you need a US Bank Account. Thats the main problem because Rich @ Ibanezrules requires that. The only other way is to send the cash in Air Mail I guess? Air Mail is pretty fast! Why don't you try that Moo?

Yup only way is if u got US a/c... But if u got a fren with paypal as well, u can put $ into his bank a/c, n ask him to make a Send Money on paypal to u with his Card... Then u will have the Balance $

N also ask Swee Lee to do the servicing as warranty... Saying u have the parts...

So at least can say $. If not the cost of servicing n intonation wld cost $$$ again. Unless u can DIY.

Hope u get ur axe up really soon yeah

check other websites companies that TAKE credit cards - it works for me.. 8)

tried checking out wdmusic.com and allparts.com yet? they might have your part. tho i'd +1 to the taking it back to swee lee and demanding some after sales service on their part.

Firstly are you talking about the intonation locking screw, or the string fine tuning knob. Both are different items.

The fine tuner is the know which you can fine adjust the tuning after you have locked the nut (headstock side). This is a thumb adjustable knob.

The intonation locking screw is a 'allen key' screw. Without it the saddle will just "fly off"

Either case, breakage due to overtightening by user won't be part of warranty coverage. So will have to see your case itself to determine that.

Standard places to get spare parts are as usual. The dealer, other dealers and guitar repair shops. Your best bet is still the source of the guitar.

Worst case alternative is to replace the bridge itself with something compatible, as these small invidual parts, would not be piority for dealers to stock. As possible sale is very very remote.

i think you can go sweelee and make noise, if still under warranty. my edge pro ii saddle broke and the replaced it. first they quoted 2 weeks, but after some more noise, they did it on the spot. anw, you can order from sweelee. cant remember the email addy tho.

This is the thing. But on ibanezrules.com, they only have intonation screw + washer under the parts listing. I really need help. Bad.

Hmm..Im having a problem with Ebay also. They can't accept my paypal payment becoz my address in paypal account is not confirmed. As stated by them , Its impossible for me to have my address confirmed.Only Us residents have that oppurtunity. Maybe u can try moneygram inside. It's easy too. But then theres a service charge fee. Thats the pain in the ass part. If you're sending to an official agent/seller,i dunt tink you need to worry about frauds in moneygram. :p
