Hmm im not sure about this rumour. Can anyone clarify? Cos I am an event organizer myself and I would like to know the reasons and factors why a concert may lose money and all. Thank you.

the first concert i planned not bad la, made quite a bit of profit. however these are the factors i think are most crucial

1) bad sales of tickets due to (bad publicity, unpopular bands?, pricing too high) bulk of the income should come from this

2) spend too much on equipment or other stuff. it's always important to do an income and expenditure to estimate how much you need to break even.

you should also make use of the large crowd present. sell food/drinks? merch?
