Here's the "before" pic. I haven't changed my effects in about a year.
Gearjunkie: Yeah, inspired by Pete Cornish with his awesome builds
Gr3y: Ikea wood haha, it's pine. The thickness is just right. Strong enough to withstand stomping and perfect thickness for the knobs to flush with the wood. Prevent accidental movement of the knobs or stomping of them. If I can get a big flat piece of aluminum that size I wouldn't mind, but I have no idea where to, and steel isn't strong enough.
edder: Haha AgingYouth and Avonrevellets saw it at it's debut gig the other day. Attracted a lot of attention from Pat and the soundman and a lot of other people.
kerplunk182: The base is actually the Misse board. I calculated the length and width just nice. Much to my hair pulling frustration, I miscalculated the height and I couldn't fit the cover on it >.< so I went to Yamaha and got a Gator keyboard bag to transport it. I'm happy, cos I can sling my board now.
Hydesg: If you mean the holes for the knobs, nope, those are easy. If you mean routing out the rectangular and oblong holes, they were a nightmare as I have no routing experience or equipment. I did it the hard way and the rough edges are very evident
No plans of doing this ever again, much too much of a hassle, so no price can be put on it I think. If I were to name a price for doing such a thing, off the top of my head, $5k. To put into perspective, Pete Cornish does a more robust job, with lifetime service warranty, for $30k I think.
Night shot!
