How would you handle jammers who broke your equipments?

Have seen someone break a BRAND NEW pair of sticks and have blood splattered all over the drumkit after just 1 hour of jamming. Blood all over the drumheads and cymbals. Imagine how gross that is. Fella then refused to pay for the sticks and even had the cheek to ask for a discount for jamming

Sometimes, irresponsible jammers makes you feel like breaking their necks.

woah! hardcore man..scary movie 4!

blood on the ground

Mel you guys charge for sticks ah?

But blood....how did that guy play boy? If i were you, I would ask him to clean up the set cos its a biohazard, and then I would bluff him that his drumming is very good, should join best drummer competition. Should he come back again, just say studio got menses, not in the mood.

Heehee.... did not noticed this tread before.

My method is old fashion. I am always cautious of new jammers, keeping watch a little more to see what kind of customers they would be. Regular jammers may not even notice I'm around sometime.

There are good apples and bad apples. The worst apples are the ones who trash your equipment, break stuffs and vehemently denies the breakage.

I have young jammers bringing football, skateboard, and even sumggling beer in my studio. Food & drinks accidents are also common, some just leave heap of rubbish behind.....blah blah...yahdah yahdah, the list goes on.

Up to the operators to set the rules.

Must see who lah. When it's a new freakin' pair of sticks and he breaks it in 1hour, how not to be pissed right? Charge the bugger I say! But if the sticks are broken due to usual wear and tear, we won't charge. It's quite reasonable, I think.

I think the fella whack until the sticks break, and he still continued whacking. The splinters probably cut his fingers or something. Darn difficult and gross to clean off the blood stains. Somehow, this reminds me of the Slayer song, "Raining Blood". Brutal man lol.

Ya agree. If its a new item and broken by sheer abuse of the item or sheer ignorance in using it, then of coure must charge. Some people are destructive.. they like damaging things!

If things are old and already worn out, then should not charge la.

Have anyone ever seen studios with CCTV to monitor weird destructive jammers?

You could even see the snake or the caterpillar if that fella were to pee onto the drumset!! after their session, show it to the fella ...evidence very clear "small brother"
