yea i noe bout the no pedal part, jus wondering if any of u guys had manage to get a very much similiar tone with the use of the pedals, cuz i dont rly think i can get those big marshalls haha

Hmm.

I use an Epi SG with the following gear:

guitar > Dunlop 95Q wah > Boss OS-2 > Danelectro Daddy O OD > Danelectro reverb > Behringer EQ > tuner > Marshall MG-15CDR

I get a pretty decent tone out of that set-up, and it shud cost you only $140 or so for the items in bold, which are the key tone elements.

I love that Angus Young tone, but my amp sucks ass so those two are the way to go, IMO.

That's the sound of the amp head's power tubes cooking with Marshall 4x12 cabs.

The cheap way is either with a podxt, vamp, sansamp or any of the simulators though at best they are still simulations of the real thing.

Get a Gibson SG, a wall of Marshall stacks and just turn everything up to 10 - INSTANT ANGUS YOUNG

Get
a) Boss bd2 and do a phat tone mod >> drive at ~ 1 o'clock volume/tone to taste.
b) Any decent overdrive with more bass input /presence mod >> drive>>low, volume/ tone to taste.
c) Any decent booster driving an overdriven amp.

Hope that helps...

line 6 is digital... one word, yucks... no offence to digital multiefx/pedal users out there.. analog all the way for me..

anyone else feel the same way as him? ^

hmm then wad pedal distortion pedal would u guys recommend for a good lead tone?
