How can I get heavier chugs while palm muting?

were u using the bridge pickup for de clip? i didnt find it too pleasant sounding too. ahaha. but tone is subjective..

Yea bridge. I don't find it very pleasant too but I think it's the amp. Something's rattling somewhere all the time, and the sound breaks up here and there. But besides the breaking up I like the sound. The mic isn't a very good one either. I think it should sound great during jamming.

Anyhow hamtam only la. Just to demo. Won't use that setting when I'm actually playing the solo, don't worry! This will be the setup for playing Metallica stuff, I won't even use the booster when playing Maiden :wink:

just wondering, how u get a very very dry tone using ds-1 huh? even with no reverb i still can feel thissss bit of "wetness". haha. is it cause of the amp?
