Hipshot Tremsetter

Lots of posts/threads on this.

Why would you want 1 anyway, doesn't help your trem, doesn't totally stabalize your trem.

And where does it say Vai uses a Tremsetter?

He uses the Ibanez Backstop. You may purchase one, if you can find one, on Ebay, usually goes for 100 - 120 USD. 2nd hand.

The ESP Arming Adjuster is the newer incarnation of it. www.ibanezrules.com

You should know what are the negative aspects of a Tremsetter before blindly setting out to get one. You might not like it. And you probably don't need it.

i h ad one on my rg 450 dx.. but it came like that.. and it works to get t he trs floyd stable.. so i had no idea how to fix it on ...

Whats your new guitar? What trem is it? I hope you didn't go back to the TRS.

Thing is, the tremsetter isn't the end all to a poor trem. You had a TRS trem, thats a horrid piece of metal, and so the tremsetter helped it, but it doesn't detract from the fact, the TRS is a poor trem. Its like getting a 200USD cable to connect your guitar to a roland microcube.

So whats the decision dhalif?

Or you just going ahead because Vai used one?

Questions questions... why a tremsetter on your JP OLP? Does it use a floyd rose? Will you abuse it a lot? Can you stand the center "catch"? Do you like stiffer trems? Do you even use the trem?

people want to use they use la, ask so many questions for what

Because people don't seem to know what they want so questions must be asked to clear the air. Always good to make sure, ensure, so the rest may search and be enlightened.

You're negative towards me but its okay. Chill.

I believe the problem here isn't what you asked though, it's more like the tone that can be perceived from the questions you asked. Might be because of smilies not being used.

Marksman, it doesn't detract (and you don't) from the fact, my questions are valid in response to the rather... inadequate answers (he thought Vai used a Tremsetter, apparently/probably has used it before with a poor floyd rose system, and now wants it in a guitar that has a much less extreme trem system) the threadstarter has supplied. Those questions could very likely save $80 (sans installation fees) for said threadstarter. Who, of course, can forgo all above questions of genunie concern, and think of them as pointy attacks to make him look lesser, of which, I assure anyone reading this, that I am not trying to do so.

Should people like damnesia choose to think there be "politics" involved, so be it.

Should people like chickmagnet choose to think they know whats going on before having met me in person or even had a chat with me, so be it.

And should people think that whatever is brought up in the forum, let them go ahead and do it, please, carry on doing so.

But your point on the smilies are most noted. ;)

EDIT: Lates night, gammer and spelling are at all time low
