Hi everyone,I'm beginning to take interest to further enhance myself with guitar recording at home. But i have a problem here..i don't know where to begin from and everytime i create a melody and record it to my laptop, the sound produced would always end up disastrously bad.

Anyways,i want to learn more and i think this is the best place to gain knowledge from all you people.

Please guide me through this..etc(what kind of software to use and such)
Money wise,i won't be buying things straight cos it would be foolish of me to buy things that u do not know how to use.

So,everyone,i would appreciate any advice, guides given here.

Cheers.

P/S:what is the function of Line 6 products such as pocket pods, toneport UX1 etc..?

for a start, try going thru the recording FAQ in the forum here, done by blueprint studio.

the question on toneport and such, for digital recording into computer, you will need those interface between the instrument and computer, for proper signal processing(overly simplified explanation) in term of recording.

its known as audio interface(with this term, you can google for the idea behind it) and functioned as an external soundcard specifically for recording and such.

sorry for hijacking the thread but pathein wats that picture on ur avatar? is it some kind of synth?
